For reference, I posted how to do this on the AC forums: <edit: added to the resource>

Thanks for taking the time to actually upload it.

Thanks it works! You've made a mistake on brackley the .bank file is called enstone so the sound doesn't work for Mercedes. Also had to edit the name on GUIDs.txt to fit the name of the folder and it works now.

Thanks for your hard work on this but I'm still having problems with no sound for brackley car. Any ideas about how I can sort this, the other two cars work fine. cheers

When i rename the file to "fc12014_brackley_gp" and put it in my folder it doesnt work !

When i change the folder name to "fc12014_brackley_gp_bgp05" and put your file in sfx it works ! but then i can't play my old replays !

I think it's because you haven't updated you mod (the real one).
The latest version uses this name.

to make it work on any car:
I got Abarth 500 sounds working on mod cars, goes like this:
1) copy .bank from working car, rename it to match car folder.
eg. I copied abarth_500.bank to reliant_robin.bank.
2) add a section to sounds.ini of where the engine is
[ENGINE]
POSITION=front ; or rear I suppose.
3) open content/sfx/GUIDs.txt, find the event section of the car you're copying from, change it to match your own car's folder name.
For example in the test I copied from abarth_500 and changed to reliant_robin:
{0cfb15eb-581b-49e3-a190-6248d359d460} event:/cars/reliant_robin/backfire_ext

{8e8da34b-0156-4064-b6d4-aa9109f68baf} event:/cars/reliant_robin/wind

Save this in your car's sfx folder (content/cars/reliant_robin/sfx) as GUIDs.txt. (note that there are other sections than the "event:/cars/" - I believe they're not necessary when copying from an existing car)
Voila, working Abarth 500 sounds in the Reliant Robin.

Yeah ! i figured how it works and fixed it ,i have version 0.3.5 of the mod and the Mercedes name there is "fc12014_brackley_gp" !
I uploaded my file for those who want to keep "fc12014_brackley_gp" as the car name but they will have to change the audio filename too!

"fc12014_brackley_gp" !
I uploaded my file for those who want to keep "fc12014_brackley_gp" as the car name but they will have to change the audio filename too!

And what is the latest version? Not 0.3.5, which I have installed but the folder name is "fc12014_brackley_gp"? Where do I get the latest version? I just seem to find 0.3.5.
Thank you in advance.
