If it helps you Sven, divide the track into sectors and try to memorize it this way. That's how i eventually got it, although there are still a couple of turns after the first carrousel, which i tend to not always anticipate perfectly. But i'm getting there. :) I think the first half until the first carrousel is quite easy to memorize, a couple of very distinct corners and sections, which i learned fast. The trickiest is to memorize all those very similar turns between the carrousels imo.

Server is up!

Personally I learnt the track after a week of events over at the Race 07 club. It was always daunting, but I just jumped into the races and by the end I knew the layout. Not saying I am fast, or that I don't need to refresh my memory now and then, but definitely the overall feel of the place came from just jumping in. Gave me an excuse to pump in lap after lap.

Don't forget all the Opalas have launch control, assign a button to it.
  1. On the start line push the button and hold it (you will see it engages 1st gear)
  2. Press the gas to the max!
  3. Wait for the start and release the button and you're off. Zooooom away.
  4. Change to 2nd gear as normal and carry on up the gear box.
Note: These vehicles do not have a pit speed limiter. Pit speed limits still in effect, maintain the limit manually.

Track: Guapore

In support of RDMCC Season 8 which takes place at the same time. Reserves from RDMCC are encouraged to join this event; everyone is welcome of course.

Practice: 19:00 GMT
Qualifying: 19:20 GMT (15 minutes, unlimited laps)
Warm Up: 19:35 GMT (10 minutes)
Race: 19:45 GMT (45 minutes, mandatory pit stop to change at least two tyres).

All races will begin with a standing start, without a formation lap. A pit stop to change at least two tyres is mandatory. Refueling is permitted, but not required. Although written for the Formula Vees, the pit stop guide here contains useful information if you're unfamiliar with pitting.

Don't forget all the Mini's have launch control, assign a button to it.

If you've not tried the trucks before, you're missing out. Up to the standard we're all used to from Reiza Studios, Formula Truck 2013 is worth picking up. Don't believe me? Try the free 60 minute version first, here.

Last time on Formula Truck...

Track:
Tarumã

Please sign up nice and early
as it encourages others to sign up, and we are then more likely to get a good grid. We don't get to use the trucks very often, so don't miss this opportunity! Honk honk mother truckers! If you sign up, please try your best to be present at the event.

Race 1
Practice:
19:00 GMT
Qualifying: 19:10 GMT
Warm up: 19:20 GMT (3 minutes)
Race 1: 19:25 GMT (20 minutes)

Leave the server and take a different truck for race 2!

Race 2
Practice:
20:00 GMT
Qualifying: 20:10 GMT
Warm up: 20:20 GMT (3 minutes)
Race 2 : 20:25 GMT (20 minutes)

Low assists will be available. I'd rather we cater for all driver skill levels and have a larger grid, where more people can enjoy the event. After all, this is the club, not a league, and no one forces you to use them. It is an option.

If in the races you need to pit, see the PIT STOP GUIDE.

Please tag me @Nox so I don't miss your sign up.

Hi guys. Saw that the race starts at 19GMT. I live in GMT-3, so it equates to 4PM, but entered now (4:15PM) and there's no one in server, and there's still 2 hours to end practice session, according to server. What is the correct time?
Cheers
Official practice is in 45 minutes.

Won't be back online rest of today, please help each other out if necessary :)
