Please make sure you have read the format before you sign-up

The winner of the Virtual World Touring Car Championship (V-WTCC) by SimBin Roland Ehnstrom from Sweden signed up for the season 4 edition of the RDTCC.

It's a great honor for us to have such a big name in the series which proves that our championship is again the worlds #1 touring car series.

For all of you who have never raced him, see above the movie of the V-WTCC Finals in Monza where Roland was crowned World Champion after winning the two race format beating Bastian Bartsch from France with only a few lengths of a car. Roland won the main prize, a brand new Chevrolet HHR of EUR 30,000.

The RDTCC sign ups are still open and only the worlds best 100 drivers will survive the prequalification that is already running for a few days. Click here to watch the latest developments on the prequalication leaderboard.

After the prequalification we will move on to the actual championship over six rounds leading the drivers to some really exciting tracks.

If you want to be part of it, click here to read the format, background info and how to sign up.

As all of you might have noticed the main forum went through a radical change in the past couple of hours. We listened to your comments and suggestions. Many brought up the fact that RD became difficult to navigate with too many forums. What are we all about? Motorsport news, online racing, a modding community, a gaming forum, etc... etc...??? we were trying to focus on being everything at once.

Well, we decided to go back to our roots and the reason why many still gather here: SIMRACING!!

This means the leagues and racing clubs will have more exposure now in top of the main forum, while the general forums and the game forums will be grouped into developer categories to reduce the forums frontpage length.

You will notice some supported leagues are listed directly on frontage while others are under "Supported Leagues" category. We followed this criteria to decide about that:

  • Popularity
  • Live broadcast
  • Number of seasons ran until now
  • League Website
We understand many folks dont like change and we have changed a lot in the past months. Hopefully it is the last time and the latest edition will make RD the #1 SimRacing destination on the web.

Thank you for the understanding.

Could you tell me how to close just one Category at a time. If I close the first one, it just closes all or if I close the second one, it closes all except the first one.

Thanks!

it seems there is known issue with the subforums mod we are using. Cant really do much about it now.

Marcin Skrzypczak took an important and somewhat surprising win at the twisty Sugo circuit. BVM driver Fernando Rees took pole and was unstopable in the first 2/3 of the race when distater struck and he disconnected from the server.

That gave the win to a very happy Skrzypczak who flashed his lights the last lap to score an important win for the Roaring Pipes Maniacs.

But all wasn't bad for the BVM team as Johannes Norberg took 2nd after a solid race. Ludde Andersson for DMSv took 3rd after spinning in the early stages. Despite the spin he charged back from 11th to score a podium for the championship leaders. Rami Kaukola was the driver of the race as he once again qualifyed at the back of the grid but as he has showned before that doesn't stop him from going fast and fast he went. He managed to crawl his way up to 4th after a good strategy and a mistake free race.

Ries Notemboom for DHR Apex got his Aston Martin over the line in 5th, just ahead of Robin Johansson for DMSvII. Jack Keithley was the only DHR SimCraft car to cross the finish line and he did so in 7th after passing Fredrick Tackman (DMSv) who finished 8th. Rounding up top 10 did Mateusz Marcinkowski (FlatOut Racing) and Carlos Hernandez (DHR Apex).

Dragos Haba, and the Roaring Pipes Maniacs team, celebrated their first win of the Blue Cup when STC finally got over its technical issues. The twisty street track of Trois Riveres took its victims during the race though. Defending champions DHR SimCraft continued their difficult season with another race without points.

Danielsson Motorsport Virtual's Roland Ehnström took his car home in 2nd after starting from the back of the grid. David Greco for The Black Rebels finished only 3 seconds behind the Swede and took the teams best finish of the season. These cars were the only ones to finish on the lead lap.

Ludde Andersson in the other DMSv car finished fourth to bring home another great overall result for the team, that is now 37 points clear of RPM who only got one car over the finishline. Johan Pesula for DMSv2 rounded off top 5. Antonio Cambria took Corse Online's best result in their debute season with a fine 6th place.

Gregory Degreef (TBR), Peter Kull (DMSv2) and Konrad Stanczak (BFR) finished 7th, 8th and 9th with Kevin Clark finishing in 10th despite an engine failure with five laps to go.

DHR suffered from hardware/software problems again being only able to enter one car for this race, but their race ended very fast as they suffered contact from other car in T1 going into the wall in a very similar accident than Jordi Gene at Morocco WTCC round this year. Bad luck for the reigning champions again in this hard season for them.

From STC we want to thank RaceDepartment for their support helping us fixing the technical issues we suffered in previous rounds and also setting up a backup server for our series.

donington.jpgJust as last season Mike Simian took victory at Donington Park for FlatOut Racing. DHR SimCraft occupied the front row, but as usual this season, luck was against them. Vincent Staal and Mikko Korkiakoski both got off to a good start but fell back to 2nd and 4th after hitting trouble.

Marcin Skrzypczak was on a good run before the pitstops but his shifter broke and had to retire. Instead, Rami Kaukola would be the RPM driver that got the result and finished 3rd. Torbjörn Lindau was the best placed from the championship leaders DMSv with his 5th place finish. He was closely followed by The Black Rebels' Gregory Degreef.

Fredrik Tackman (DMSv), Johannes Norberg (BVM), Christian Waltgård (DMSv2) and Mikael Hellén (TBR) rounded off the top 10.
