Due to absence of drivers we have some free slots in the RD Touring Car Championship!

If you are a racing enthusiast and would love to battle with the best touring car drivers in SimBin's RACE On, then this is your chance to participate in the world's biggest RACE On league here at RaceDepartment and you will be on track starting this Sunday night during the second round of the championship at Spa-Francorchamps!

This weekend we will be giving away one copy of STCC - The Game 2.

STCC The Game 2 is a racing game based on the 2010 Swedish Touring Car Championship season as well as the Scandinavian Touring Car Cup which includes the cars and drivers from the Danish Touringcar Championship. The most intense and prestigious motorsport championship in Scandinavia.

RaceDepartment have announced the second season of the Nations Grand Prix. This time the cars will be Simbin's new International Formula Masters from Race On. Last year's winners Finland will be going for a back-to-back titles but will have stiff competition from lots of other nations.

In a sensational result, Custom-8 and their representation of Danish track Jyllandsringen for Simbin's RACE series has pipped SimBin's own creation, Laguna Seca, for the RaceDepartment Track of the Year 2009. Laguna Seca, SimBin's representation of the legendary Californian track, took an early lead but an extraordinary fightback saw Tomas Beha and his colleagues at Custom-8 take the award. [PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]Another track to utilise Brendon Pywell's excellent Bob's Track Builder during 2009 was Vitus GP, created by Thierry81 and fredhot for rFactor and the RACE series. A strong showing saw it place joint third alongside another official SimBin track, Road America.
Taking 5th place was the AMS Renault Test Track created by 6ecko. Every year the standards get higher and higher and we in the sim community are very lucky to have such highly talented people working to create both mods and tools to keep our hobby alive and well.

A very good top 5 tracks there and I voted for Custom8's and I'm really pleased they won the most votes. Not taking anything away from Simbins efforts, but good to see a modding groups work get the honours. And Vitus will stay in my memory for my first Mini Friday win.

Congratulation Custom 8 ! Well done ! ;-) I have been racing a lot on this track in real life, this virtual version got every single bump in it. Definately one of the best made add on tracks I have ever seen.

What can we really say, but THANK YOU!!

Thanks to RaceDepartment and all it's users, especially those who gave Custom-8 their vote. This is without doubt the best reward a MOD-group can get, we are honered and proud to recieve this award. We where up against some serious competition, and wish to pay our respect to everyone who make an effort in trying to give something back to the community, beeing creative and not just converting content from sim to sim.

Custom-8 wish you all a Happy New Year, we definately have something to celebrate now - noone know what 2010 will bring, lets all try to make it a good one

Virtua_LM have released GT Legends, GTR2 and RACE versions of their popular Rouen les Essarts track for rFactor, bringing the spectacular historic race track to Simbin’s most popular simulations.

The legendary French circuit is a high speed semi-permanent racetrack, famous for its fast sweeps and the brickyard hairpin. After a series of fatalities, the track has been out of operation for a long time now. Virtua_LM’s version both includes both the original 6.5 kilometer layout that was used until 1974 as well as the newer 5.5 kilometer version that was in operation until the track was closed in 1994.
