The top 4 drivers of each class semi-final will join the round final (4 PROs, 4 SILVERs, 4 AMs) and the round final podium drivers will be celebrated on the track’s real podium, since any of these 5 events will be held during the corresponding real race weekends of Blancpain GT Series.

Seems like a good initiative.
I hope they'll be smart enough to have something similar for us plebeians who can't afford to travel to a single real race, let alone several. I didn't get into karting cause I can't shell out thousands of € on a regular basis, I'm not about to start doing that to travel to real events to race on a sim.

This is some incredible news guys. Really congrats on becoming official Media Partners :) Looking forward to the updates

If i’m reading this right...

Three classes of driver will be allowed to take part.

PRO : These are professional "real world" drivers as well as celebrities (whatever that means!)

SILVER : This is "us". Register at the website. And get lapping. However 12 slots is not a lot for the hundreds that will try and make it on the leaderboard.

AM : 12 drivers who set hot lap times at the events themselves.

An interesting concept but the limit is quite low. Shame they can’t just have a Pro server, Am server, etc. Ho Hum.

I guess someone has confidence this will be a good sim? Seems like that would be added pressure for Kunos. Could be a good thing or bad, depending on how you look at it.

Well, this was born as the official game of the Blancpain GT series and as an e-sports title. It is only normal that they organize Blancpain-related e-sports events. I have 100 hours in ACC and to me the code is now solid enough for the first "simple" events. Not yet for endurance races, but for hotlapping and sprint races it is more than decent already.
