News & Announcements (2013)

Teams will be locked on Sunday, August 18th 15:30 GMT! Until then, you may create your team and perform driver transfers/swaps in time for the European GP.

Useful Information:
  • Driver suggestion: After suffering two consecutive rounds without points in Monaco and Canada, Jack Keithley scored 2 podium finishes in the last 3 races. During those races, he scored 48 points, just 2 less than championship leader Bono Huis, the top scorer during that period. The Englishman finished only once this season below the top 4. Can he take a maiden victory in the streets of Valencia?

  • Interesting facts: Over the first 5 rounds of the 2013 FSR Fantasy League, Bono Huis and Morgan Morand took 2 fastest laps each, while all Pole Positions were split between them, 3 of them by the Dutch driver. Ivar Kalamees and Blair Disley are the only drivers to have finished all 5 races, while Dian Kostadinov remains the only one to get a Fair Play record in all of them. Bono Huis is the only driver to have beaten his team-mate in all 5 Qualifying sessions, although he and Ivar Kalamees are the only ones with perfect assistance to Q2 sessions.

  • Update your teams: Giuseppe Marconi, Zuhaitz Cabo and Marek Godek have announced they will not take part in the European GP. Remember to make the necessary transfers and swaps to ensure you have 4 drivers racing for your team!

  • Penalties, penalties everywhere: Marcel van der Linden has received a Back of the Grid penalty for a Qualifying infraction in the Hungarian GP. Should he take part in the race, he will not be in contention for Poleman, Top Ten or Team Leader points. However, should he finish in the points, he may score many Overtaker points. Meanwhile, Eros Masciulli, Jorrick Boshove and Patrick De Wit have received Race Ban penalties and will be not be able to take part in the European GP to comply with the penalty.

  • Mini-Leagues: Remember you can join the Mini-League action by joining one of the existent Mini-Leagues or creating your own! Challenge (or even bet!) your friends and find out who knows more about Formula SimRacing! Join the Mini-League action here: Mini-Leagues.

Useful Information:
  • Driver suggestion: After suffering a disqualification from P2 at Silverstone due to a technical infringement, Samuel Libeert scored his first podium of the season at Valencia and has been one of the top scorers in the last two races, taking 21 championship points home. Can the Frenchman continue his run to the top steps of the podium at Monza?

  • Interesting facts: Only 5 drivers have competed in all six 2013 FSR Fantasy League rounds so far this season. Bono Huis scored an average 32.67 Fantasy points, his team-mate Ivar Kalamees an average 22.33 points, Jack Keithley 16.17 points, Blair Disley 6.83 points, while Dian Kostadinov scored an average of 6.33 Fantasy points. Only 5 drivers have scored over 30 points in an FSR Fantasy League round: Bono Huis (52), Philipp Puschke (39), Ivar Kalamees (36), Gergo Baldi (35) and Morgan Morand (34).

  • Penalties, penalties everywhere: Peter Varga has received a Back of the Grid penalty for a Qualifying infraction in the European GP. Should he take part in the race, he will not be in contention for Poleman, Top Ten or Team Leader points. However, should he finish in the points, he may score many Overtaker points. Teams will be locked on Sunday, September 15th 15:30 GMT! Until then, you may create your team and perform driver transfers/swaps in time for the Japanese GP.

Useful Information:
  • Driver suggestion: After a couple of retirements, Dian Kostadinov took his second podium finish of the season at Monza, returning to the top form he showed in the season's opening Melbourne race. Can the Bulgarian maintain his performance in a very different, twisty circuit like Suzuka and score another podium?

  • Interesting facts: Only 2 drivers have finished all seven 2013 FSR Fantasy League races: Ivar Kalamees and Blair Disley. Only three drivers have set fastest race laps or pole positions throughout the seven rounds: Bono Huis (4 poles, 3 fastest laps), Morgan Morand (2 poles, 3 fastest laps) and Samuel Libeert (1 pole, 1 fastest lap). Marcel van der Linden is now the driver who climbed more positions from his grid spot on his way to a point-scoring finish (29), followed by Yannick Lapchin (25) and Philipp Puschke (23).

  • Penalties, penalties everywhere: Chris de Jong has received a Back of the Grid penalty for a Qualifying infraction in the Italian GP. Should he take part in the race, he will not be in contention for Poleman, Top Ten or Team Leader points. However, should he finish in the points, he may score many Overtaker points.

Useful Information:
  • The final rounds: With a thrilling battle for the championship lead, the Korean GP kicks off the final third of the 2013 FSR Fantasy League season. Just four rounds remaining! Can you become the 2013 FSR Fantasy League champion? Expect some surprises for the final three rounds!
  • Driver suggestion: Taking the GhostSpeed seat after Morand decided not to continue racing this season, Jernej Simoncic finished 4th at Suzuka and will be hoping to go one better at Yeongam. The Slovenian driver already has a podium finish this season at Montreal, can he repeat the result in Korean soil?
  • Interesting facts: Alex Diaz remains the 2013 FSR Fantasy League's most selected driver, present in 58% of the teams. Franz Schnyder is now the 2nd most selected driver (38%), while Moises Rondon is present in 37% of the teams. Of the drivers that joined mid-season and did not feature in the original team lineups, Samuel Libeert is clearly the most selected, currently part of 25% of all 2013 FSR Fantasy League teams.

Use the extra 500$ wisely to defend your position or catch up! It's your chance! Can you become the Abu Dhabi round winner? Who will become the 2013 FSR Fantasy League champion?

  • Driver suggestion: This suggestion was so obvious it was left behind until the penultimate round. Bono Huis made history by becoming FSR’s first four-times World Champion at Singapore. The Dutchman won the last 7 races and has an incredible record of 10 wins in 12 participations this season. He is the most expensive driver in the FSR Fantasy League, but If the extra budget allows you to get him on your team, it is probably a good idea to do so.

  • Penalties, penalties everywhere: Robert Rudholm has received a Back of the Grid penalty for a Qualifying infraction in the Singapore GP. Should he take part in the race, he will not be in contention for Poleman, Top Ten or Team Leader points. However, should he finish in the points, he may score many Overtaker points.

Teams will be locked for the last time this season on Sunday, November 10th 15:30 GMT! Until then, you may create your team and perform driver transfers/swaps in time for the Brazilian GP.

Useful Information:
  • The season finale: The Brazilian GP is the final round of the season! The 2013 FSR Fantasy League showdown has arrived! It is your last chance to go for a round victory or have a shot at the 2013 FSR Fantasy League championship crown. Remember all managers have a new budget of 10.500$! Use the extra 500$ wisely to defend your position or catch up! Franz Schnyder. David Dominguez. Mikko Puumalainen. Ondrej Kuncman. 4 candidates. Who will become the 2013 FSR Fantasy League champion?

  • Driver suggestion: Despite not taking part in every race this season, he has scored strongly in most races he participated in. Silently, Eduard Mallorquí showed up in the top-10 of the standings. However, he is the only one in that select group to yet score a podium finish this season. Can the Spaniard surprise and end the season up in the rostrum?

  • Penalties, penalties everywhere: Alvaro Torres, Marcel van der Linden and Antonio Kolarec have received Back of the Grid penalties for Qualifying infractions in the Abu Dhabi GP. Should they take part in the race, they will not be in contention for Poleman, Top Ten or Team Leader points. However, should they finish in the points, they may score many Overtaker points.

  • Update your teams: Jernej Simoncic has announced he will not take part in the Brazilian GP.
