Newb questions about making tracks.

How does one make a track for the RACE Series? Do you need the Bob's Track Builder or is it possible to make a track without it?
I understand that you first model it in 3ds max, but what next?
Also, would any track maker be willing to model a track for me if I gave them a layout with all the elevation changes?

You can do it with BTB or 3dsmax but there are ups and downs. BTB is mega cheap to get where as 3dsmax is not. BTB is more user friendly where as 3dsmas is a steep hill to clime. The best way to do it is to use BTB the use google sketch up to make your models.

As for some one making you a track you would have to ask about try in the BTB forum here at RD you might find some one on there with the time to do as it is not a fast thing to make. I have done a layout of the track and just doing that and adding grass took me a week to get right let alone all the 3d work that has to be done.
