New PLR Effect

I found this in my PLR file:

Vehicle Sparks="0" // Whether sparks occur from vehicle-to-vehicle collisions
I changed it to "1" and now I get some very nice and realistic looking sparks when vehicles trade paint.

Nothing like the "New Years Eve" fireworks of rFactor, just some small sparks here and there. Very nice edition to the immersion factor :)
 
What is it with Race being so graphically gimped? Is it because it is an international audience that tends to have more dated PCs? I have family in other countries who are into games if not sims, and they tend to be a good 5 years behind.

But are all these ridiculous compromises made because of them? I mean this engine is horribly dated as it is, I can't imagine why developers would intentionally take out optional features that would enhance the experience of those who could afford it.
 
Thanks for this find. But I'm seriously wondering what's up with Simibin... They seem to be turning into a non-caring EA type of company. I really hope the next game they release has all the features it should have, considering so many are taken away.
