Featured New KartKraft Build Now Available

    A new build of KartKraft has been released today on the Steam network, adding yet further improvements to the already very solid karting simulation.


    Maintaining what has been an impressive rate of development post Steam Early Access launch, yet another new build of the heavy duty karting simulation KartKraft has been made available earlier today, adding some very pleasing performance improvements to the title alongside a number of smaller fixes... and a new game feature.

    As can be seen in the update notes below, the latest build 0.1.0.1480 of KartKraft isn't the most spectacularly sizeable update we've seen deployed by Black Delta since the game released on Steam EA back in November, but it does nevertheless bring with it some very useful fixes and tweaks to the core game experience - including some pleasing attention to the performance of the title that utilises the FPS hungry Unreal 4 game engine.

    Alongside the miscellaneous changes detailed below, todays build is also notable for the inclusion of a new game mode / feature - adding a new take on the current leaderboard that forms the core game experience within the title currently.

    KartKraft Update Notes:

    Fixes/Tweaks:

    • Reduced HUD processing time by 75%,
    • Improved driver animations,
    • Fixed bug causing the national leaderboard to appear empty intermittently,
    • Exhaust smoke particles are now only visible when the FX quality is set to ultra,
    • Removed foliage from all circuits that isn't visible when on the circuit,
    • Fixed collision on IPK brake rotors causing the kart to shake uncontrollably.
    New feature:
    • Added minimal time trial mode which disables the ghost and only uploads your new time at the end of the session, if better than your previous time.
    The new update should be available the next time you restart your Steam client.

    KartKraft is available for PC on Steam Early Access now.

    I believe so yes. It's one of prettiest sims, challenging even ACC

    Anyone know when VR will be out? Last I heard it will be before the end of the year.
    I keep getting excited when I see these updates

    @tunaphis We don't have any plans to do a rally game currently. Our focus will be on KartKraft for quite a while!

    Just bought this now. Looks like fun. AI is important especially in the early stages when not many have the game. Good work!

    @Zach Griffin Hi Zach, loving that there's a karting sim with Melbourne tracks I've actually raced on! Any plans to add Oakleigh? This was my local growing up and would be immensely awesome to see it in the game.

    Same way as ACC. So not really, stretched. Don't know if Unreal 4 even has possibility for real triple screen rendering

    @Stepy - We fixed the error a few builds back. There were a number of factors that could trigger this. If you still get it, please join us on Discord and we’ll get you up and running.

    @Enerjex - Our next circuits will be in Europe as we’ve already included two Australian tracks. With that said, I’d love to put Oakleigh in at some stage. It was my home circuit too!

    I read proper triple screen support was in the works and coming ... I hoped it would be included in this update...sadly not.

    Which is the reason I did not buy yet. Took a risk with ACC and as it seems we can forget about it. Hopefully the guys here will succeed...:rolleyes:
