Tracks Nemuno Žiedas 1987-Present

Thanks it is likely to be connected with color saturation of the textures of particular trees/bushes. Will focus more on that :) And no, I almost haven't tested these conditions. Online world ruined me, and I almost forgot about anything else but clear or medium clear weather. Also a bit difficult to test everything alone, but thanks to feedback like yours things improves. :)

And yes they are on purpose like that, because in AC there aren't many options for track physical objects. Maybe it is slightly immersion breaking, but there are almost no space for the runoff (IRL), don't wan't to make it even narrower as it is very punishing already.

I just checked how it is IRL, as in my model there is obviously lots of space in the outside, reality needs to keep up :D

I am a little bit puzzeled...

Where is the extended layout, which i liked the most cause of it´s wonderful 60ies touch, gone??? Downloaded it for several times, no extended layout in it anymore - only wet, trackday and fastlap layouts. :unsure:

You can still have it anyway though. By just simply using files from the previous version.

In the main directory nemuno_ziedas_ext.kn5 which is model, models_extended.ini which tells the game what models to use for layout, then "extended" folder from main folder, then "extended" folder from UI folder.
 
@mantasisg : Ah, thanks for info. Quite understandable decision to solve first the things on the shorter layouts, cause extend doubles the length(and the work, i presume.). Thanks for providing us with this awesome track. No problem to integrate extended, works fine.:)

Nice, your welcome, really happy that you like it :)

As for how much work it adds. IDK, maybe something like 30percent. I actually started it when I had more skill, so the base is a little better, also techniques, and models, and most textures fits from original layout. Also it is just a bit fantasy, as real one only terrain, vegatation and tarmac exists. Actually tiny peace of tarmac is gone. So much more freedom with it :)

As a separate track it will have more exposure. Though I don't know if it could have less lol
 
All layouts are fine work. The shorter layouts are very good for older lower power cars like the Escort, Alfa orthe 3.0 RSR(especially the wet one;))

But only the extended layout has this intimidating 60ies flair when you go fast with your Jag, the Lola T70 or the 917 K. It always reminds me of those old deadly tracks like the old Spa, Nurburgring North and South loop or the notorius Targa Florio.:):thumbsup:

I was going to ask how to keep the extended layout but didn't get round to it, thanks for explaining :thumbsup:
 
@mantasisg By comparing the surrounding sound of the extended part to those parts of the 3 shorter layouts, i think i found something. Why there is only on the short layout parts so much reverb in playbacks: some strange backround sound, with loud wind murmur -must be a soundfile, that tries to simulate all the background noises on a racetrack, with spectators mumbling, the wind murmur trough trees etc. This soundfile uses a lot of reverb. The special parts made only for the extended track are free of this, perhaps this soundfile isn´t used there.
 
I don't know i didn't understand the ambient sound yet, but something is weird indeed. As for reverb, ext doesn't have any. I have reduced reverb strength in standard layout a lot, but it still seems to get a bit too strong with some cars, perhaps i should revise the distances in which the effect is triggered, probably messed it up a bit when I couldn't to get reverb to work at all :/
 
Ambient sound, i tried some other tracks but it seems they haven´t one - perhaps is the easiest way to solve the problem to delete that file. Only my personal opinion: ambient sound of spectators make most sense in special, stadium like parts of the the track like the motodrom in Hockenheim.
 
It is very unclear how it should be. IMO wip mods threads should be merged/moved as support forum once they are released with marked pages with "release info" post.
 
The WIP section here was added long after RD set up the download/support thread thing... so I'm not sure there's any intended behavior, just a redundancy. :p
