According to a recent article by Brendan Sinclair over at gamespot.com, the ShopTo.net product page for the Need for Speed: The Run game not only unveils the game and its box art, but it also reveals a short teaser trailer that shows a North American launch date of November 15th.
The trailer – which clocks in at just 1 minute, 17 seconds long – shows brief glimpses of race action, inter-cut with images of what appears to be the story mode. The video (seen here) also suggests that places such as Denver, San Francisco, New York and Las Vegas will feature in the game.
In regards to a story, the trailer’s glimpses show a man, whose name appears to be Jack, regaining consciousness in a car that’s overturned on a railroad track, while a woman’s voice is calling his name in the background. The tagline at the end of the video is ‘The race for your life.’

So the Question is, will you buy this game?

Well it's only a commercial clip as of now. But if it's going to vitalize the spirit of cannonball for example, as it looks right now, then it might be a nice concept. :)

For the first time, Need for Speed goes outside the cars.

During EA E3 2011 press conference, the publisher presented a live gameplay demo of upcoming racer Need for Speed: The Run.

The big thing for this latest edition into the long-running and recently rejuvenated cops vs robbers franchise is that it features on-foot gameplay. During the presentation, the game's handler begam the demo by racing in what looked like a standard street race through a city at night. Following a dramatic crash, the player removed himself from the wreckage and proceeded to run from the cops on foot.

Running up to a building's rooftop the player ran from cops and a helicopter in what looked to be a series of quick-time events. Just what inputs were being made was impossible to make out but everything looked a little too stylised and cinematic for us to believe the player was actually being controlled 'properly'.

After a little parkour action, our 'hero' made his way down to street level, beat up a cop (again, quick-time events) and took his car. The goal now? Escape the city with a police chooper hunting you down.

The trailer ended with the cop car on its roof across a railroad track, the rpesentation ended on a cliff hanger as a freight train made its way towards it.

90% Pre-rendered "push button in time" action :p Not for me... and I want to race using a roadmap, with multiple A-to-B options, string of left/right signs is SO lame IMHO. It's a FAIL!

EA released new trailers of their upcoming racing title Need for Speed The Run. The game should be out in stores in North America on November 15, 2011 and November 18, 2011 in Europe. Before you buy you can enjoy the demo which will be out on October 18, 2011.

Leaving Colorado means one thing, traveling down the Million Dollar Highway. Steep cliffs, hairpin curves, narrow lanes and a lack of guardrails make this route hazardous to even the safest drivers. But with $25 million at stake and your life on the line, being safe is the last priority. You have to thread through traffic and pass your rivals at 10,000 feet, but racing on the edge means being fearless and aggressive.

Demo out October 18, 2011
On the 18th race for your life in the Need for Speed The Run Demo. You start in the Desert Hills of Nevada where you find yourself at the heart of the pack. Battle the unforgiving desert heat and technically demanding terrain as you use your skills to fight your way to the front of the pack in the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni
