You guys are wrong. Heres what the announced On Jan 30. "EA Games today announced massive plans for the Need for Speed franchise with probably the biggest plans in the game’s history and certainly the most exciting as we reveal what’s in store for the next 12 months.." There coming out with N4S Shift witch will be a sim racing game. "The game is being developed using a collaborative model with some of the best racing game talent from around the world. Some key names behind the game are Michael Mann (executive producer at Black Box), Patrick Soderlund (senior vp of EA Games) and Slightly Mad Studios in London. SMS, or to give them their former name, Blimey, should be well-known to the racing crowd as the developers behind such classic racing games as GT Legends and GTR 2." So I dont think N4S is going anywhere soon

this sounds promising actually, but like the article says on virtualr ... it remains to be seen just what kind of freedom EA will give the devs in regards to "simulation"

heres hoping they give them all the freedom they need to deliver a real sim based NFS

Those who tried it said it's very much realistic, they compared it to Forza2 and LFS. (console gamers/PC gamers) I can't see a reason why wouldn't EA let them making a sim, remember that the old ISI games were released by EA, Sports car GT and F1Challenge were pretty good I think!

I think I read somewhere even Shift (the 'sim' version) is going to use some degree of motion blur... to lazy to look for source atm.

gosh do the pics look good. The only NfS I ever found good was Underground 2. Lately I'v treid proStreets and that realy sucked. I would greatly apreciate if NfS brought a real Sim racing game now!
