My AC benchmark test results.

@Simberia
Only just used this test and wanted to share my results.

I use v sync on in game but the benchmark is uncapped:

points: 22215
FPS: AVG = 151
MIN=72
MAX= 210
VARIANCE = 16
CPU =88%
LOADING TIME = 32s

GPU: GEFORCE GTX 1060 3GB 1920X1080
OS VERSION 6.2.9200
CPU CORES 4
AA 4X AF 4X SHDW 1024 BLUR 0
WORLD DETAIL 3 SMOKE 0
PP QLT 3 HDR 1 FXAA 0 GLR 3 DOF 3 RAYS 0 HEAT 0

So basically is this any good, i run setting rather low or off so can i turn more on? If i run non v sync it seems really all over the shop so how an i help with that? Its seems i don't drop below 60 fps ever but still i find v sync is better for me, so any tips? (aside from upgrading my CPU, i know it is the weak link.)
cheers.

First of all, i would play without V-sync. With V-sync you'll have some input lag, meaning you will be slower around the track. You should notice it turning quickly the wheel and comparing it to the in-game wheel.

You can definitely increase the graphics, especially if you don't have a 144hz monitor.

Consider running uncapped framerate, but open nVidia Control Panel and set "Vertical sync = Fast" since your average is well over 120 fps and minimum is 72 fps. You can choose to enable the setting only for AC rather than making it a global setting.

nVidia's Fast vertical sync buffers the incoming frames and selects the most recent frame to display without the lag of regular vSync.

For me anything without the normal vsync has some micro stutter now and then.
So what I do:
\\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg\graphics.ini
"MAXIMUM_FRAME_LATENCY=1"

This sets the cached frames to 1 frame. I honestly can't feel the input lag. I can feel it with the same method slightly on shooters though but it shouldn't matter in a racing game!
Now I go into my riva tuner (msi afterburner) and set the fps limiter for Assetto Corsa to 60.

Butter smooth, I can't feel a difference in input lag between vsync on/off and I have ZERO stutters!

Tested everything mentioned above and on different forums on different games...

PS: the Benchmark is nice, but I prefer to use the Riva Tuner OSD to display my GPU load in real time so as long as it stays below 90% you won't get a fps drop with vsync on :)

AC VERSION: 1.14.4 (x64)
POINTS: 21106
FPS: AVG=144 MIN=9 MAX=248 VARIANCE=0 CPU=63%

LOADING TIME: 26s
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (1920x1080)
OS-Version: 6.2.9200 () 0x100-0x1
CPU CORES: 8
FULLSCREEN: ON
AA:4X AF:16X SHDW:4096 BLUR:0
WORLD DETAIL: 5 SMOKE:5
PP: QLT:5 HDR:0 FXAA:1 GLR:5 DOF:5 RAYS:1 HEAT:1

Im running the game max/ultra settings, post-processing disabled with Vsync disabled on a 144Hz monitor.

An i3 core 1430 i think it is called, i'll have to check, but yes on test sites my CPU is the let down, but hey ho whole system only cost me £400 and does the job for now.
Will look at an i5 or i7 soon i think. Who do i get to fit the new CPU?

I hadn't noticed the benchmark option earlier but as I have a new computor I had a go.

Everything on max and resolution set at 2560x1440

POINTS: 29974
FPS: AVG=204 MIN=12 MAX=299 VARIANCE=4 CPU=61%

LOADING TIME: 12s
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti (2560x1440)
OS-Version: 6.1.7601 (Service Pack 1) 0x100-0x1
CPU CORES: 8
FULLSCREEN: ON
AA:4X AF:16X SHDW:4096 BLUR:0
WORLD DETAIL: 5 SMOKE:5
PP: QLT:5 HDR:1 FXAA:0 GLR:5 DOF:0 RAYS:1 HEAT:1

I must say that I'm really impressed how much better my new computor runs AC and I hadn't honestly thought it would be this good. Can run any number of cars on any track with very high fps. On my old computor I could run max 15-18 opponents or I would get the dreadful CPU Occupancy message constantly.

The 1080 ti is a pure beast!
Maybe you can tell us your CPU? :)

Here's mine. PC specs in sig, pretty much all settings at the maximum and running on 3 37" 1080/60 monitors.

I have a real newbie question.
When I run AC benchmark I get a AVG of around 120. But then I play the game (practice mode with no other cars) I get 60, when I race with 15 cars I still get 60. I have not turned on fps limit. What I'm I doing wrong?

Sounds like vsync is on :)
The benchmark disables vsync as far as I know since it wouldn't make sense to run it, locking the fps in there.
