try again you made me curios now
Oops, updated, works now.
Jesus Christian.. crazy lap
Another Bathurst hotlap for you guys with the Ford GT GT1. A little more tidy compared to my DTM lap. This car is an absolute blast! Definitely a little sad that I won't be able to participate in this race.
Unlike the DTM, you have a lot less downforce, the steering is heavier and much more lively. You'll see during the lap where things get a little out shape, so be ready with that wheel. I have included a setup for anybody who wants to give it a try.
Make sure you crank up your sound before watching!
A 3rd and final hotlap around Bathurst in the 134 Judd V8. Nailed the apex at Forrest's Elbow in this one. The back end is extremely lively, and locking up the front is extremely easy so be careful with the brake balance.
Setup attached for anybody who wants it.
Man, that flow..
Tatuus F4 - Bathurst - 2.07.357 LB*
- front brakes lock up, for trail braking don't use 100% of force;
- chuck it in, coast, power out;
- don't shift in the red line;
- maintain speed, don't brake as late as possible brake a tad earlier but have higher mid-corner speed.
@Caramidaru Andrei Bogdan Nice lap, and interesting setup! I've tried "toe out" in the rear before but on a GT3 car and on a track like Bathurst, some of the corners where you trail brake would absolutely not work with it. I guess the downforce on the Tatuus makes up for it?
Like it say's in my channel descriptions, these setups work great for me and my driving style, for example, I tried every setup that you posted and it just doesn't click for me.In the tips, i suggested how to diminish that effect by not using 100% of the brake force, and I only trail brake on top of the hill in two corners.
It's an ok lap, there is at least 0.5 in that lap for sure more for really fast guy's or ones that enjoy Bathurst
I may have updated my GTR1 and Tatuus lap times.....just sayin @Christian Moreau
@Mike Davies Let the battle begin! Not really big on the Tatuus, but I will certainly take a look at that GT1 time.
@Mike Davies @Christian Moreau stop beating around the bush and try some Nsu hot laps), Brands Hatch comes to mind))))))
GT1 is for slow people, NSU is the true power house
Sweet! I always get overly excited when we start battling on the LBs like this Dont worry I havent forgotten about those DTM and Hillclimb times
Also with the GTR1 I know i have .3 left in there some where. Im actually finding the stiffer springs and roll bar are getting me a harder driving car, but faster on corner exit
Lmao alright! NSU at Brands and Mona Junior. Ill try and add that to the LB list, i gotta beat all these times before school starts and I become a hermit!
For sure, 1:56s are definitely possible. I remember in my hotlap, I went a little wide at T3, defo lost a tenth or two there. I really love doing these, you get to really understand the track and it allows me to figure what the hell I'm doing when I'm changing something in a setup.
Ya for sure! Ive been learning a lot from you guys, watching your lines. Turn 3 i get a big advantage over you, and also the last turn on the hill, the hairpin I gain on you. But you also nicked the wall there, so I know you can beat my time.
You racing today?
I'm not unfortunately, I work full time so these EU timezones don't work for me. Looking forward to Sunday though, my Ford GT is ready.
Man sunday is gunna be crazy! And ya im lucky I work night shifts starting at 4pm EST during the summer. After Sept 7th im in your boat though
@Mike Davies @Christian Moreau cough cough.....argh.....GT1...cough
