Mount Panorama 60s70s By Philrob - Mount Panorama 60s70s By Philrob

This is a conversion of the great GPL track, by Chris Kelly, Chris gave permission to convert this back in July 06 but it never happened. So here is my version of Mt Panorama sometime in the late 60's early 70's.

I have changed most textures and added many new ones, re modelled some of the objects, added lighting and shadows, created the pit infield and built a new aiw, I have also planted an acre or two of eucalyptus along with lots i have forgotten.
It is a great race without the chicane...

i tried that with no good results .Things like GMT errors wont allow it to load
If you do it correctly, I assure you that ANY track that loads in rFactor will also work in AMS. I think I posted a guide for how to do this in the AMS forums a while ago (when I was trying to convert VLM Mid Ohio).

I have done other conversions but cannot get this to work. Would appreciate if you could try and then let me know if it is working.
Thanks

You have to put all files in one folder - copy the files from 67panorama/67panorama to 67panorama, i.e. no subfolders, than you can convert the track.
But the converted track is still not working the way it's supposed to - the cars just bounce up and down and don't move - both in test and in single race. It needs a proper real conversion

Perhaps the creator could help us .PLEASE
Yes, it would be great. Although I'm not sure if Philrob is still active at the modding scene. Or if he even have an account here on RD. I've seen him on Evolution modding and some other sites but not here.
Probably one of the AMS modders can do the conversion.

i am still here and still very active, i work in RF2 now.I converted it and much upgraded it for RF2.
I have never done an AMS track or even ran the sim.But if you want to convert my version of RF1 i have no problem with that.

Great to see you here and to hear that you are working in RF2! Love your tracks for rF1!
Unfortunately I am not a modder myself, never done anything more than rfactortools quick private conversion.
Who knows, maybe one day some of the guys working on AMS tracks may do the conversion.
Thanks for the reply!

Great to hear you are still at it.
Unfortunately this track does no convert to ams1. But the converted track is still not working the way it's supposed to - the cars just bounce up and down and don't move - both in test and in single race.
Any chance you could look at what causes this for us. I'm sure a lot of people would be grateful.

Dover16,
As i said i dont own or have never used AMS. In most other Sims this problem is usually caused by a material problem. The road surface is not recognised as an area a car can drive on.The TDF file or equivalent in AMS tells the game if the surface is drivable. The AIW can also create this type of problem. I am sure there is an AMS specialist on here who can help.
