Today’s motorsport photo of the day is courtesy of the latest World Rally Championship round in Italy, and features the Volkswagen Polo of Sebastien Ogier.
The 29 year old added the rally in Sardinia to his wins in Sweden, Mexico and Portugal in the 2013 World Rally Championship. Ogier and his co-driver, Julien Ingrassia, finished the rally with a lead of 1m 16 seconds ahead of Thierry Neuville.
Ogier’s win has subsequently increased Volkswagen’s lead in the standings to 46 points, and increases his driver championship lead to 64 points ahead of Volkswagen Motorsport stable mate Jari-Matti Latvala.
