Wouldn't it make sense to unify classes rather than add more of them?

I hope this doesn't mean we'll have another set of regulations to cause every damn series to include the same 5-6 cars *cough* GT3/GT4/TCR *cough*

I wonder whether the existing R2 rally cars will be transformable into these TCL touring cars because it is basically the same car class.

That seems to be the idea, that they can be used in R1/R2 with only small modifications. Thus enabling a bigger customer range.

Yet another chapter of the FIA World Domination Tour. Why is it that whenever the FIA announce yet another "Entry level" motorsport category it usually ends up costing more to take part in than the original formula it's replacing. Still I suppose a lot of teams will be pleased they don't have to sell off their Clio Cup cars. It looks pretty much the same to me

No good Wo men will not get to F1 with this.

Men who drive these classes also won't compete in F1. This is just a really expensive hobby.
As long as everybody who competes has fun doing it.
These things can give great door to door battles on any non FIA grade 1 track.
