The latest official MotoGP videogame from Milestone has been announced - introducing... MotoGP '19.

Revealed by way of a very, very slick new trailer, MotoGP 19 is the latest in a long running series of official MotoGP games from the prolific Italian developer studio, and replicates the 2019 edition of the top level of international bike racing.

Having gone through something of a upturn in fortunes with the last release, Milestone have again looked to develop and improve upon what was an already very solid base for this new game, providing what appears to be yet more content and improved playability as they look to bring more depth to the series with MotoGP 19.

According to the details than can be found within the announcement trailer above, it appears as if the new for this season MotoE series will be represented in the new title, as will the inclusion of a legends gameplay feature that recreates some of the historic rivalries that have taken place over the years within the category.. so expect some Biaggi vs Rossi action when the game comes out later this year.

For now information is a little thin on the ground as to exactly what has changed with the upcoming release, however stay tuned to RaceDepartment in the coming weeks and months as we bring you the latest news as and when it becomes available.

Orobix is the company that collaborates with Milestone for the AI

This is what one of Orobix's employees says:
The in-game AI was the result of a close cooperation between us and Milestone. For now I can say that the new AI is very hard to beat and has surprising behaviors, both individually and in-group. It's the beginning of a new generation of in-game AI.

The neural AI is the only new element.
Historical challenges has been part of the series, but IMO feel bland as there are only modern renditions of tracks and relatively few historic bikes and riders.

But advanced in AI are always interesting to follow.

Wasn't a little bit too early for this ? Last one was out on 7 Jun, 2018.
Another early access title or they need some fast cash ? :)
Although, on more serious note... hyped, love the series.

Finally we see some advances in AI using machine learning. I think simulators would hugely benefit from this approach.

Open AI is a company from Ellon Musk focused on machine learning AI, and they have been improving immensely against Dota 2 players. Imagine this on Sims

Well, it's coming 6th June, 2019, so almost a year after the last one, and I think you have to launch games yearly to maintain this kind of licenses (don't know how Kyloton managed the deal with WRC to not launch a 2018 season game).

As for the game itself, the new AI sounds interesting, a little bit like the Drivatars of Forza in that they learn from you, but if it's as challenging as they say, it will a great step foward for us single-players. We'll have to wait and see.
As for the Historic content, that's always welcome, but I hope they expand it a bit more from the one present in previous games. The 90s bikes are good, but I feel like they lack in numbers compared to 2000s bikes. And only if they would add some content from the 80s and 70s...

Paul Jeffrey, are you working for Milestone and did you see my feedback on Milestone customer support thread?

That was a slick game trailer! Made me wanna play it! Being a marketer myself I can appreciate the art;) Haven't really played a Moto GP game since it came for free with Xbox Live Beta test program back in the day lol. I'm due for some 2 wheel action!
