F1 2010 Monza - Italy (Dry)

F1 2010 The Game (Codemasters)
Thanks David for that set up. Very good. Best time I've had so far is 1.19.212 but I'm switching to a manual gearbox now to see if I can get below 1.19 :D

EDIT: now got it down to 1.18.882 awesome. Wonder how much faster (feasibly) you can get using a control pad?

Devid's setup with 7th gear a step down. Career year 3 of 7. Mclaren, legend, no assits exept traction, full sim. Pole 1:22:849. Race was raining almost all the time, 1:26:784 fastest. First, ahead of Vettel and Alonso.

I used the very first setup in the thread in Career Mode with Lotus. I managed to dominate the whole weekend, 1st in all Practice sessions, 1st in all Qualifying sessions and then a win from Pole. Slowest lap I set was 1:28.925 and the fastest was 1:28.197

Massive thanks for the setup, now have that one saved for the next season.

I am really struggling with Monza i am quick with whatever set-up i use i got pole position but as in all my practice sessions in the race i just cannot keep the car in a straight line through either of the two chicanes. Every three or four laps i spin at one of them, which is a shame because im really quick when i dont spin!! How do take those chicanes????

The best thing for the first chicane (I find) is to brake hard (not completely, around 90%) just before the 200 mark, gear down fairly quickly to 2nd, then take it wide-ish with minimal throttle (or none if you feel you're gonna kick the back out). The second one is the same routine. You can cut the left corner a little bit, go about 1/4 or so throttle all the way through until you pass the speed hump on the right corner (DON'T GO OVER IT! I spun out about 10 times there before I learnt my lesson), then ease the throttle to full.

Hope that helps you out =)

PS3 version, 1.20.401 in TT with no assists but automatic gearbox. I actually have ride height 11/11 because this is a low downforce circuit and that helps you achieve higher top speeds i think.

Thanks Viktor.

I hadn't done Monza yet. I went into Grand Prix Mode using McLaren and used this setup. I had prime tires and 15 laps of fuel. I did 6 laps and then turned the wings to 2/2 to compensate for the fuel load. The car was sliding sideways in the corners and getting real out of shape under breaking. I went back out with 20 laps of fuel and same prime tires. 5 laps later I had done 1:24.819
So prime tires, green track and 14-16 laps of fuel and only driven 11 laps on this track. I'd say that's a good setup.

I got a new 1:16.8xx time yesterday and I have found what makes the car stable on curbs(didnt know that before) and it is the balance that should be more to front, so about 70-30 to 100-0 in tracks that have many and high curbs. I tried 70-30 in spain and got a new pb and that was because I was so much more faster than my previous time on the last chicane. And then I decided to try the new balance setting in monza's first chicane and was very stable with high speed over the curbs with 70-30 80-20 90-10 and 100-0, where I always did spin when I used 0-100.

I can post my whole setup for monza later.

Viktor im loving your setups, been using them for a while, and they helped me to be the number 1 driver in my championship i hold for the xbox.

I got so much time on my hands right now, im going to sort out all my setups for the xbox and PC, seems to be that im using your old setups, and you posted a number of new ones, so im going to try that out.

Im a quick driver but im still not close to your times, but its absolutely impossible for me to play with no assists, so thats probably why im a little slower in that respect.

wow I think I found "the" setup for this track :). I did a new wr which is 1st place on both PC and xbox on a "first" lap direct from garage :OO. The time I got was 1:16.619 and under 1:16.5 is def possible with a "real" TT lap. This setup is very stable on the curbs on the first chicane which is very important to get a good time on this track.
