Great setup. 1:10:498 with McLaren

Hello, I'm at 1:12.972. I've tried paulus and pistolfield setups, both are good, depends on your driving style. I'm still trying to get the chicanes right, and when coming out the wheelspin is brutal, nothing more laps can cure I guess.

I can drive 109s with standard dry setup, but in many setups (all tracks) I often see camber and toe sliders all to the left. Since, I know very little about I've tried to see what it actually does and I can say that if you want camber to the left you loose acceleration out of the corner, however I can see that it helps turning but it is not faster. Toe to the left gives more oversteer, because you can turn much sharper in the corner, which can help a lot. Far as I can notice it does not hurt acceleration. I don't know if the theory behind camber and toe agrees with this, but this is what I noticed.

I tried this setup and ran a 1:16.118 with the Williams in career mode, automatic gears, full traction control, option tires. But I did lengthen 7th gear a bit and gained 3 more kph on the straight. I also changed the brakes to medium to avoid lockup going into the hairpin.

I do want to try some of the other setups as well.

Happy Hunting!!

^^Im gonna try that one out Andrew even though the setup looks kinda weird to me (front wing, spring stiffness, toe and camber)

Anyway here is my keyboard setup with abs enabled and traction control full.
edit1: decreased front camber 1 notch

Used Simon's set up in a Red Bull on the xbox 360 with controller - 1:15.683 after just a few laps.
Great for Qualifing but I like little more down force in race setup.
I will give it a shot this week in my league race on Friday night.

Huge key to this setup is the Gearbox ratio's... I tuned them for ever corner of the track for the Lotus. This helps make up all the time from Sector 2 loss due to the Lotus' low downforce. Versus the top teams you can make up 2 seconds in Sector 3. For my driving style, the traction and steering is perfect for me, not sure if it suits everyone.

Qualified with a 1:17.2. Race I did a 1:17.082. Qualified first and came in 2nd place. I figured out I can afford to add more tire wear. Primes went yellow just before the last lap. Options went yellow only a few laps before the pit in.

This setup does not fix up well for Time Trials (less wing, lower ride height, stiffer springs, or bigger gear ratio's do not help). My best time trial time in a McLaren using a setup similar to whoever posted the first setup was around a 1:10.5. Since then I haven't really done TT's, so maybe one day I'll work on a decent time trial setup.
