F1 2010 Monte Carlo - Monaco (Dry)

F1 2010 The Game (Codemasters)
Hi guys.

I can't believe how quick some of you are round this track! My best is a 1:26 dead. I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I have used the first setup on this page and tried others, but nothing seems to improve it. I have TCS on medium (should this be changed?) I have it on amateur. I am 6 secs slower than first and this is in the practice session. Am I just crap!?! :(
Also have auto gears. I'm trying manual, but it's quite tricky - never used manual gears on any racer before. What about ABS? I have that on, is it best to have it off?

Hi im currently using a pad (xbox 360) but looking to get a wheel...any suggestions on a good one?

depends on budget and if u use manual etc. If you use manual I recommend dont buy too cheap wheel, my first wheel(Thrustmaster Ferrari GT 3 in 1) paddles stopped working within 1 week and my G27 paddles havent even been worse yet after about 5months. If you have money then I can really recommend G25/G27, if you cant afford one of them then wait for other opinions because I dont know other wheels as I havent tried them.

yeah me too. I applied the setup but I can't go under 1:23:000

I'm new here, but I have been racing since feb this year.
Monaco is the hardest track to race on.
I don't like to race people here because it's rare that you don't get cleaned up by some dude.
Monaco separates men from boys. You need skill and total concentration here.
I use in car view.
This is the fastest setup I have come up with.
It looks very close to the setup I have just seen on the first page here.
I have managed 1.15.042 with this setup.
Try it and let me know.
My brother did 1.13.something.
I don't know how he managed that one.
All he told me was to change the wings.

a new wr I think!! 1:09.423 in COCKPIT view Time Trial. Believe it or not but it is capable of 1:08.9 in cockpit view I was very close many laps but did some stupid mistakes :(: Anyway here's the setup and it worked really good in heavy rain with all sims too so I think this is a VERY good setup for all conditions in monaco:

EDIT: Balance 100% - 0% 1 1 is faster though it spin alot easier so I would still use this setup for race..

Yeah I've looked at your settings viktor and they seem like a typical alien setup (sorry :p). I'm going to try them later and see if banana's question is more stable.

On another note, I'll have to stop using a local profile on F1 2010 GFWL and thrash your Silverstone time...

Hello grisfiske

Question : your previous setup was low small brakes and now high large? Very different!!

that was a very old setup :) I use high large at all tracks but Bahrain which I use medium standard

First when I used the low small I didnt know how to brake the right way :). If you learn how to not lock up the tyres when braking with high large you will be much faster because you can brake much later :). But it needs practice, first I locked tyres too.

a faster and more stable setup for races with all sims on and all assists off. My setup @ page23 but change balance to 40/60% and Front 7 instead of 4. Fastest Q with option tyres 1:13.0 and 1:12.7 is possible.

EDIT: It was SUPER fast, 1:12.1xx in Q with options.

REDICILIOUS! OK I think I did more than 15 laps "under 1:09" but did some stupid mistakes.. 1:08.7xx is def possible. And I did all laps in unmodded cockpit view :) Ill share the setup if I get under 1:09..

I used this setup and I can't get a lap time less than 1:20. XXX
What is the secret to get the pole or at least be among the first 6 places?
I'm playing at the professional level and i use controller.
I think i suck in Monaco's track....
