The latest title to join the Monster Jam series of games has been released - Monster Jam Steel Titans.

Available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Monster Jam Steel Titans is the official videogame of the Monster Jam series, the first of the franchise to be developed by Rainbow Studios. Complete with 25 official trucks and drivers, the game offers players several different types of driving experience using these awesome trucks - from open world exploring to the famous stadiums that helped the series make its name, Monster Jam Steel Titans has been developed to create an accessible yet realistic experience for fans of the category.

“Expanding the Monster Jam experience beyond our live events is something our fans ask us for every day – and we are thrilled to have done just that with Monster Jam Steel Titans!” said Jeff Bialosky, Vice President of Licensing & Retail Development, Feld Entertainment. “The team at Rainbow has delivered a Monster Jam game play experience that not only is accessible to all player skill levels but invites players to drive, explore and compete in massive, open environments. This, in addition to capturing all the action fans have come to love inside the arena.”

“Building Monster Jam Steel Titans allowed us to bring Rainbow’s prowess in off-road racing beyond MX vs ATV, delivering an experience which captures the incredible scale, power and excitement of Monster Jam!” said Chris Gilbert, CEO, Rainbow Studios. “We think fans will feel this both inside the arena and in our massive, open worlds.”

It's the first authentic, somewhat realistic monster truck game since MTM2 in 1998.

That being said, the performance on consoles is quite poor and the physics are bizarre. Under about 100 km/h the game drives pretty realistic and looks really good, but as you increase speed the trucks will do all kinds of crazy ****. Most noticeable, is a massive tire issue. Anytime a tire touches the ground, it acts like there is load placed on it. So you'll be in the middle of a realistic looking flip or doing some kind of nice looking stunt, and one tire will brush the ground at a slightly imperfect angle, and the truck will just shoot off and do like 15-20 more moon-gravity-tier flips.

Just found out that you can spin as you please forward and back in mid air... Is that possible in real Life? Thinking if they spin the Wheels forward or reverse? Cant Think that you can do it as well as in the game. That's where the kiddie part comes in sadly. Looked like a decent couch game until i saw that.

I mean it's definitely a thing IRL, it's probably not as simple as the game makes it but it's not really a surprise that on default settings it's simplified to the point anyone can do it. I don't have the game but I saw it has a few assists like auto rear steer vs. second stick rear steer, and self-leveling in the air.
