Some guys need braking lessons

Race 1. Q 11th

Had a good start, but got tapped in the side that send me off. Got back on track had a little fight with a couple of guys and had and one with Andrew. But in the straight nothing was going on, suddenly i got a aero and a suspension message out of nowhere. A tip for Prez. :) finished 13th.

Race 2. Q 6th Was the whole race 8 but got a couple of places when people spun in the last corner, finished 5th. love that track.

Race 3. Q 7th

Got smashed in the back at the first corner, everybody knows that you can't use you normally braking point. Got everything, Puncture, Aero and Suspension. Crashed again a couple of corners later, but then i was making a pitsstop but i couldn't move anymore! and was stuck in the pits. So had to back out.

Thanks Andrew and RD. The mod is great and very fun to drive. :)

Bob did good tonight with a 4th, 3rd, 4th. The last after being knocked back to 17th in the pinball game at T1.

Sorry to Kimmo for the tap into T1 at Dijon, I could not see you and thought you had dropped back a bit when I turned in.

Love these cars, oh the sound of the engine hubbahubbahubba.

Congrats to Kimmo for the 2 wins and Michael for the Dijon win.

Thanks Andrew a great nights driving and Please, Sir, can I have some more?

what a quality event verry enjoyable thanks to all who was there :)

Race1-Dijon (Short)*
had a qualy battle with Kimmo for pole, got it with a eyeblimp ahead

Start i came out of the grid realy good with no praccy at all on these beasts
not even to think about 1 or 2 start tests
so i was suprised to have the lead still into turne 1. from then i had a uneventfull race with a gab of 1.5 to 3.2 to Kimmo
and even with a death left front tyer ( it was screaming for mercy after lap 10)
i set my fastes lap in lap 11 :)

Race2- Mid America D-Curve*

again a awsome qualy battle with Kimmo this time we got joined by Bob who was leading the qualy for most of the time with a 1.00.6xx till the moment as Kimmo pulled a unbeliveable 1.00.2xx wd mate.
top 3 all in the 1.00.xxx with Guivi on 4th not far behind

at the start i came of the grid like a rocked was self so supprised that i lifeted a bit lol still could outrun Bob on 2nd
but hell no change to even stay close to Kimmo nice speed you showed there :)
on the attemp to close the gab to Kimmo i overdone it so Guivi got a run on me, but that aaahhhaaaa moment woke me up :)
and i just followed Guivi to study his line after a while i decided to try and go past him as my tyers started to recover and the car got more stable
but dude :) you defended well hard but allways fair ( i liked it) made a little error and runned wide
so i had again 2-3 laps of fighting the clock to get back on his tail and then i was a bit intimidating to make him nervus what probaly worked out and he did a mistake what gave me the change to get back in 2nd
short after i saw in the mirror that he tapped the grass and spun it out. that was a big luck for me as i was short on fuel a bit so i could not run that speed till the end
the last 2 laps i was shortshiffting for my life lol
special thanks to Guivi for that awsome fight ;D

Race3-JaramaGP*
i set realy early in the qualy a 1.30.9xx and throug it will be good for a top 5 maybe so i tryed realy hard to go faster
and break into the 1.29 with no avail. at the end of qualy i noticed that time could not be that bad as it was Pole ;D
had again a verry verry fast Kimmo behind me and it was realy hard to build a gab
on some point i overdone it and spun it at turne 3 and with only 2.5 sec gab Kimmo was past me and never seen again :) WD
and even the 3rd Martin got a run on me and i realy had to grab something out of the box to get a run on him
he defended verry strong and as hard as i tryed he always was on the jump
at some point he realy slowed down and i tapped him (Sorry Martin) i waited to let him regain his spot
and off we are fighting again :) Martin was choosing his lines verry carefully
so i had mostly only the change to try and have a run on him outside
what not worked out verry well
2nd last lap i finaly got inside in the 3rd last corner, it still was not easy to keep 2nd as Martin was not willing to present me the 2nd on a Silver Tablet :)
at the end i finished 2nd :)

so overall a 1st, 2nd and 2nd this time for me :)

Thanks to RD for hosting, Thanks to the Master of Fun events Andrew :D and this time a Special thanks to Prez and Günthar for the awsome reworked Escort mod ;D

may the fuel is with you all ;D

Very surprised by the Mod. While popular in Europe, the Escort has a, well, somewhat pedestrian reputation in the US. However, these were fire breathing dragons with matching attitudes. Killer engine sounds and lots of fun to drive. I can see these cars growing on me if more events are run with them (hint hint nudge nudge).

Race1: Qualified ~10th, looked at the clock saw what I though was 29 seconds left in qual. Fluid management is an important part of my pre race ritual and I always visit the bathroom right after verify fuel levels. When I returned the race had started!!!!! :damnit: it didn't take me that long!! Evidently qual was already over and there was 29 seconds left in the 2:00 race countdown. I was pissed - so to speak. :rotfl:

Race2: Qualified ~8 was running a good race with some excellent battles. However, every time I passed Rob Goldthorpe on the front straight I overshot the 1st turn. The last time ended my race 1 lap before the finish.
Hey Rob - Get a microphone!!!!!!! :director:

Race3: Qualified ~ 8th. Survived the worst looking T1 carnage I've seen in months unscathed. Was running well as high as 4th, then spun 3 times loosing a place each time and ended 7th.

All in all a great event with great tracks and a promising nee mod. Thank you Andrew and RD for loads o' fun.

Abdul you trying to scare the new guy!?:poke:
LOL - Abdul doesn't scare me... oh, except when he is lapping me at twice my speed :) J/K

But seriously, I didn't realize Race 07 could do dynamic changing weather within one session. That's pretty cool. I thought it only changed between sessions.
