F1 2013 Modified Button Layout Fanatec PWTS

F1 2013 The Game (Codemasters)
This is a modification of the default actionmap file for the Fanatec Porsche Wheel Turbo S. I have modified it separately for use where the Clubsport Pedals are connected direct to the base of the Fanatec wheel and also where they are connected directly to the PC via the supplied USB cable - I prefer the second way as I believe it may increase the precision and range of the pedals.

To use, make a back first of your Fanatec Porsche Wheel.xml file which is in the e:\Steam\SteamApps\common\f12013\actionmap\ directory. You can edit it with notepad and save it.

Button Layout is detailed at the end of this Post.

Modified Button Layout for Porsche Wheel Turbo S ( may work for others - try it ! ) by Blanes

Upon starting game do not use keyboard - Press wheel button X to start

In Menus these are the main buttons used
Left Paddle = Select
LSB = Back
Navigate menus using D-Pad

In Game
Left Paddle = Gear Down

Right Paddle = Gear Up
Left Stick Button (LSB) = Look Left
B Button = Look Right
Blank Button above RSB = Rear View
A Button = Car Status (Tyre Temp/Fuel etc.)
Right Stick Button (RSB) = KERS

Button Y = DRS
Button X = Camera Select
Back Button = Replay/Flashback

Start Button = Pause Game

During Replays
Left Paddle = Stop/Play/Jump-In
Brake = Rewind
Accelerator = Fast Forward

Hope someone enjoys these as I didn't like the original setup.

Both of these files can be easily modified by the user to suit their own preferences.

However beware in changing the Select and Back buttons to other keys.

For example I would have liked to use Buttons A and B for Select and Back but those buttons are hard programmed in certain games menus to perform specific functions and if you change them in the actionmap file it can play havoc causing frustration.

Sorry but you cannot just create a mod thread in the mod forum, all mods must be released through the resource centre, see here how to upload etc.

As this is also not an F1 2013 mod, it's a hardware mod/tweak for a wheel, it cannot be uploaded to the the F1 2013 mods forum.
