Paul take the Alfa! I have to drive the bimmer since I used to race one years ago. Prolly crash by lap 4 but WTF!

First Off - apologies for the start of race 2 - I was so intent on getting off the line and getting through the chicane that I shifted straight into second. I think Eric N. got the worst of that.

Race 1: Pretty uneventful - Saw Yves in Ascari, saw Yves in Ascari again, saw Yves pit, saw Yves in rearview, saw Yves blow by, lost sight of Yves. I was catching Anthony at one point (slowly) then he must have had to garage it.

Race 2: Blew the start, but everyone got by safely in the chicane. Caught up with Dennis, then locked up the brakes into Roggia and punted him into the trap. Fell back in behind him - at this point I think he was just wanting to mess with me a little, I passed him into Parabolica, he passed back in Rettifilo, I went back around on the way to Roggia (waiting for a punt that never came :smile - then lost it in Ascari when I took too much of the first curb. Had to pit for repairs, then ran on to the finish.

The setup seems even harder then the normal Beemers

wayne likes to cut every corner thats why he was in pole. And in race cutting continued and thats why he drived out after trying cut chicane and car back jumped.

... hmmm forced pit with forced 2 x tyre change ... I liked the old 80 minute format - you had to pit (usually) for fuel, but tyres were optional - so the whole strategy and driving style (ragging it and burning your tyres out or alternatively driving more carefully to preserve them to the end) came into play ... and like Nige said, defending or catching someone at the end with worn tyres could make it really rather exciting, wot wot

... this will feel a bit more like 2 x sprint races I guess, no doubt with some serious catch up needed on my part

I think cutting on this track isnt the problem.

Using the track on the outside of the corner, 2nd apex, that gives more speed and faster times.


But the game dont give warnings for cutting or using the outside of the corner, on the most corners.


Anyway i try to go between the lines with four wheels, but dont think i was succesfull in that. (trying hard to avoid the curves)
