Qualified 3rd, very proud of me because I went below 1:24, whereas all my practise session were in the 1:24,6 vicinity. It really helped me to have fast guys around, to copy, humm, study their trajectories :quiet:

First 2-3 laps were ok, tying hard to follow Richard Trange and Javanainen, who were slowly gaining times (5 seconds iirc). They were fighting hard, often side by side.
Then Gary took over me in just 2 corners, I was really surprised how quickly he accelerates in the first corner, which I tried to replicate for the remaining laps.
That seems to have been successful for me, as I started to fill the gap with Richard. Gary and Javanainen were not far, but I only remember Richard car :) , as I spent "some" laps behind him. After the "catch me if you can" game with Richard, things started to be dangerous for me : I was loosing my braking references when I was too close, so I did a lot of small mistakes (too heavy braking, too early braking, that kind of thing). BUT I was faster in the long straigth after the first corner, :dance2: so we end up, 2 or 3 times, very close just in front of the chicane. Dangerous times here. Finally at one point we were side by side at the chicane entry, me in the inside of the corner. Not sure if I was right, but I took my usual line, and I lost track of Richard in my mirror, so I am not sure where & how he took it. Richard, sorry if my manouver was agressive, that was my best shot to overtake.
In the following lap, the timing were telling me you were 1.8 second behind, so at least I didn't destroy your race. 3rd at this point.
Gap stabilized and I prepared for my pist stop at midrace. Went quit well, 31.6 sec.
After everyone's pitsop, I was 4th, behind Richard. again. Congrat Richard for your pitstop, I don't know how you did it but you took 10 seconds less than me. :worship:
So we played the same game, starting from 6 sec. gaining very slowly. In the last 3 laps, I was just behind him, but I didn't find the opening to overtake this time. A very good fight, I enjoyed it a lot. Focus was key here, to avoid this silly mistakes that cost you seconds.
:highfive:
