Only three of us, but great fun nontheless, especially as we were very driving very comparable times :)

Didn't have much experience in the F3000 so I went with David's pre-made setup. Might as well settle for the 'harder' one when beginning, I thought ;) These cars are quite a challenge, but I still got quicker and quicker - without being too consistent, that is :D

Still managed to qualify for pole position and kept it at race #1's start. During the first lap, I even managed to build something like a small gap to Dennis in P2 (likely due to smallish off's on his side?) but, most forseeable, lost the time during the second lap.
Dennis got closer and after I went off after the straight, he passed me - now I had Michel gaining time on me and he, too, passed me after some more errors on my side.
I managed to re-focus a bit and got into passing position again, though - only to blow it after the straight, again ;)
In the end, I still finished 2nd, but that was only because some guy in Michel's pit crew stole some fuel out of his car

Now beginning from P2, I had a really good start into race #2, gained P1 and managed to hold it through the first kilometres - Michel was breaking quite early, so he couldn't quite get that close - except for a short contact at the chicane ;)
No damage was done, however, and we all went on. Dennis now got up to Michel and while battling each other, they were losing valuable time making me feel a bit safer - as safe as you can feel on this track. In these cars. :D
An off of about 8secs in the second-to-last lap got my pulse up a bit, but the gap was big enough by now and Michel losing his front wing prevented him (or Dennis, who managed to pass him in the last lap) from getting closer than necessary.

Great racing, hoping for more drivers at the next open-wheel-event :)

I hope with a full grid that we will have some drivers coming to TeamSpeak?
It is not necessary but it does add another element to the race. Join even if you do not have a microphone or speak English, which is the only language used.

Because we will be so many, cars will be garaged in the pit area before Le Source as well as on the downhill straight after it. For all of the sessions on Thursday, please use the long pit exit road and if pitted in the upper area do not use the open apace that has pylons across it to enter the track.

Thank you all! Dennis

Certainly a challenging track in these cars. In early practice I wondered if I could stay on track for an entire race. I worked hard on suspension hoping it would help and I think in the end it did as I was consistent and happy with the car.

Three of us were quite close though both the practices and it did not end during Quali! Of course it wan't a big deal with just three but a good start toe the real events.

Cautious on L1 the car it its comfort zone on L2. I was amazed to catch the lead and figured there would be a mess when the others caught me up. Fortunately it didn't get to happen that way and while Michel closed hard on me for the last few laps he had to hold at 4 sec behind, probably saving fuel.

R2 was a bit different. Bjorn took off and I spun on L2 at Le Source. For most of the rest of the race it was Michel and I trading places, usually very close on the track including him passing me IN Au Rouge with only a slight bump, much less than the one I gave him at the chicane[sorry]. Late in the race I went off at the end of the Kimmel straight but no damage. I thought all was lost but soon after Michel was weaving on the track with no front wing.

All in all an event full of close fast driving, loved it as I did so much better than I expected, laptime and staying on track wise.
