Had great fun at this event,

Started from pole and got a good start but ran onto the grass at t3 and William nipped passed and then got a nudge from Marty and dropped back to 5th, lost the plot a bit for a few laps but then settled down into a good rhythm and eventually finished second :)
Race 2 was a different story :( started from 7th and left my braking too late for t1 and went to the grass to try to avoid every one!! didn't do to bad and just tapped a couple of cars but a bad error all the same, dropped to the back of the field and tried to just be consistant from there on and eventually found myself in a battle for 2nd with Warren and Laurance, hit Warren twice and rammed Laurance twice :( sorry about that but I was very tired by this stage and had been up since 5am the previous day (excuses, excuses) congrats to Marty and William and thanks for having us for the night, hope you enjoyed your time in Ireland :D

Can anyone give me more info on how this gear ratio thing works. Where, what and how etc please. Cause i obviously run outta revs early on this track :(
I am just looking at it myself currently. I assume, as I for another project was looking at this gear ratio myself, it is a question of multipiers.
You see only one part of the equation in game, but the other multiplier changes. So e.g. I am driving the Holden for the 6th gear it always says 22/22 but the value in brackets changes depending on the setup I choose. They are called 3_5, 3_7, 3_15 and 3_25, that one with 3_15 results in the lowest gear ratio (3.004) so it will allow the highest speed at max revs.

On another note, my first impression, the car is very forgiving. Comparing it with a GT car, or WTTC-E, which similiar power, I make it less often spinning, my first impression.
