Messages have vanished

dash messages have gone missing. When you adjust your ABS and the pop-up says "ABS 1/3" or it says "driver X has retired". That vanished once I upgraded CSP

Everything is set to display and the buttons still work. If I am racing and press buttons to adjust ABS, those settings change without issue, but there is no display letting me know which setting I am currently on.

I tried launching the game through CM and AC and the result is the same. I change TCS and ABS through each race so I am in the dark.

Anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance
