i read about this..shut 4cyl off in slow corners for less wheel spin and better acceleration out of them,like traction control in way as well as to keep the gasses primed without the lag
Don't the engines go down to 4 cylinders in certain modes anyway?
i thinks so Chris,dont they even have 2cyl mods for when they are waiting on the grid ,so the engine doesnt overheat(could be confused though)
Apparently Charlie Whiting has rubbished the claims. Saying that he has the data from the engines and there is clearly no more than 4 cylinders being cut at any one time.
Nice find. Now we just have to figure out why the Renault engine sounds like it´s kept some overrun. Or atleast a similar sound to that.
