1:22'272 on TT w/McLaren 1:22'541 w/Ferrari, 3rd as of 9/21 on the PC Leaderboard (Though that's bound to change ;D), No Assists as you can see.
1:24'988 on Online Q with this setup just tweaking the gearbox a couple of flicks down.

Very nice setup! I got a 1:23,512 on PC Leaderboard (15° Nacho)
Close to my limit, can be impreved a lot but I don't like to push the car cutting corners in unbelievable way ;)

A little tweaking in gears helped with acceleration and top speed, but the reast is just awesome! Thx a lot!

You're probably right, like I said in another post(and other people have to) we're not going to see the same kinda times as in 2011, codies is trying to get times closer to real life therefore I would think that setups are going to have to be more realistic as well. Out of curiosity, what wing do u run here?

HAHAHAHA if thats the case once you have done a race, compare your times to the real f1 times and check the difference

NotesTHOUGHTS ON THIS SET UP? DOES IT WORK FOR ANYONE ELSE?
AFTER STUGGLING WITH THE GAME AND SET UPS GOING THIS WAY SEEM TO HELP ME. STILL ONLY DOING 1.29.998 BUT THIS IS THE BEST IVE GOT.
JUST TO ADD ANYONE STRUGGLING WITH THE CAR BEING ABIT TWITCHY, I INCREASED THE LINEARITY TO 50% IN THE ADVANCED WHEEL SETTINGS AND THIS HELPED ME ALOT.

I've finished qualifing in career for Melbourne on Legend diffuculty. I've compared the times they were doing to what they actually did this year at that race and yeah they're pretty close. On the game, pole position is around a 1:25.4-5, this year Hamilton got pole with a 1:24.9 in real life so that's a difference of about 6 tenths, not too far off. I also looked at the practice times and those are pretty close as well.

I just finished race in Melbourne. Driving Force India. My qualification time was 1:28.300 (16th). Lewis (1st) was just one second ahead - 1:27:000. Race was terrible - after few corners I got to the 6th place, but my engineer planned three stops for me, others went just on two. Final position 14th. My TM diResta was 8th (Q: 14th).

This is my first setup i'm posting here.
So far i've been watching setups alot here but now i want to join.. :)
I've seen some strange setups.. like the wings (11/1).
or ride height at 1 and springs at 1.. these things are theoretically impossible.. but hey.. if they work for someone in this game.. who cares.
i've tried the high front/low back wing but as i suspected the car was out off balance en the rear of the car was going everywhere exept the right direction.
So after a hour of training i've come up with this setup, i think it should be good for every car if you tweak it al little bit.
offcourse all comments are welcome, good or bad..

Notes
Suspension settings are based on my F1 2011 setup, it just felt right last year - camber settings are taken from the 2011 one as well but vice versa, gearbox is a modified 2011 one, too. Judging from this thread it seems that 1/1, 9/8 suspension settings work pretty well in Melbourne.

Also, my wheel suddenly lost FFB when I approached the last corner, so I went a bit wide and lost a few tenths. It's not as quick as other setups but doesn't generate wheelspin and will thus conserve tyres. It's a GP setup after all. ;)

Q1: 1:26.940 (Expert) (got it down to 1:25.5xx yesterday, no video available)
mod-edit: no more videos. regular game videos can be posted in our videos section http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/media/

To bad i can't edit my own post anymore.
Now i started career mode (proffessional).
in Q3 i did a 1:28.099 on options with mix 3 (4 laps fuel)
This time i used DRS and KERS.

As an update to my earlier setup, I tried out new gearbox settings for Online Race and Career which I will try to post tomorrow if I can manage to get my profile back (got the profile corruption bug), if anyone could provide any help Id be massively grateful.
I recorded 1:24'3 online Q and a fastest lap of 1:26'6 on a 50% race with the earlier given setup (just as added info), and pole on Williams at 1:25'8 I think. It was a high 1:25 xD. All no assists.

guys if u use aids like TC and stuff plz say cause its too diferent, a setup might be sable with TC but without it its hard like hell, plz dont forget to say u use TC or any other aids

Legend, all assists off, cockpit view, gamepad.
Setup wears rear tires a bit when thrashing it but is very stable and easy to drive. If using a wheel it should be down into the 1:16s

1st setup for f1 2012
Enjoy :)

Edit: Tweaked a few settings, have edited the post with new settings, now down in the mid 1.26 :)
