McLaren Honda had a great history partnerships previously, with much success throughout - Including the likes of Senna and Prost driving for them.

Mercedes' Toto Wolff was asked for any comments relating to the matter. "We are looking for a long-term engine supplier relationship with McLaren-Mercedes."

On the other hand, when McLaren were approached.... A spokesman said: "We never discuss media rumours about potential partners."

If Honda was to return, they would become the 4th road-car manufacturer supplying engines in F1, alongside Mercedes, Renault and Ferrari (Fiat).

can't wait! the macmerc partnership has done well in the past, but with merc now running a works team i have little doubt mclaren will switch to honda. and if/when they do they will undoubtedly be honda's number 1 priority team, compared to merc where they are probably the number 2 priority at the moment after the works team.
