umm but they said earlier today no sports car project was planned also those last few lines sum it all up, the relationship between the two may not have always been the best but certainly from Mclaren's side there is a huge deal of respect for Ferrari

The Relationships Been getting better though. Last year some of the Ferrari guys were invited to MTC for the day.

Its commercially much better for McLaren to fight against Ferrari's than against B-Brands. Exactly the reason why a premium brand like BMW doesn't like to drive against SEAT, Lada and Chevrolet/Daewoo in the WTCC anymore.

Then why dont they just immediately go into LMS or even better get the car into GT2 category and enter next year to fight with the F430's, Vette GT2's and BMW's.

I see your point, but the problem is all brands have A and B brands inside, you can't compare an M5 with the cheapest 1 series, not only because the price, but the concept and how is made too.
