    • The lead car controls the pace, and must stay between 80-150km/h (50-93 mph).
    • The lead car cannot accelerate to full race pace until his car is positioned between the final corner and the start/finish line. Once they're within in this designated zone, the lead car is free to accelerate to race pace at the point of his choosing.
    • There will be no overtaking during the pace lap, and no overtaking is allowed until your car has crossed the start/finish line.
    • If there are any queries regarding further clarification of this rule, please contact the event organizer.

Let's fill up the grid! You can ask other drivers to race with you by using the tag function of the forum. Just type an @ directly followed by the user name and this person will receive a notification. Example @Joao Alves

Our racing clubs are foremost meant to gain online experience so please help other drivers out when they have questions about the event, the car, the track, the setup or a combination. This is not a league race, it's not about who wins, it's for some fun, so please join us on TeamSpeak and build a little community spirit! The more fun we make it, the more inclined people will be to join in and make the grids bigger.

Priority access
In case of a large amount of sign-ups premium members are given priority access to enter this event.

NOTE TO CLUB MEMBERS:
I would just like to remind everyone these club events are just for fun. No matter if you are posting record lap times, or if you are vastly off the pace, how fast or slow you are does not matter. As long as you are able to follow the rules, and be courteous towards other drivers, you have something to contribute as well as something to learn from others. Please don't be discouraged by how well you know the car or track. If you are someone who is normally competing for podiums, but you don't know the track, look at it as a test of your instincts and an opportunity for the slower members to place higher. I realize everyone wants to be competitive, but this results in lower sign ups as people tend to shy away from events they are not as fast in. So please, sign up for events you are slow in as well. This is all about the fun and the learning experience, leagues will come later for all the aliens.

Sign me up please. This should be a really fun challenge!! Anyone with a decent setup I would appreciate a PM to help. Thanks:), I am very setup challenged with this type of car.

I've been having a lot of fun practicing, I've never driven these cars before. What kind of lap times are you guys able to get? I managed a 1:50 on qualifying tires.

Have you made sure to press 0 to set the car's turbo boost to 100% on quali-spec laps? I expect the pace to be a little bit quicker than that for quali at least (though at the cost of a truck load of destroyed engines :D).

I've also noticed that the RC has made this car slower, it's on my guesses anywhere from 1 to 2 seconds slower per lap than they used to be in the early access builds.

The car is a little slower now because the engine limiter isn't set as high by default. It defaults to 100% now, and can be set above that as apposed to before, where 100% was the max.

Thanks, I didn't know the turbo was adjustable. I saw some much faster times online so I wondered if I was missing something. I did max out the limiter setting though.

Any recommendations for sensible turbo and limiter settings for the race?

I'll give this one a go. I will probably suck, but who cares :p

Andrew, there are a lot of faster times, but on RSR, abou 90% of those fast times have mechanical damage off. They probably also were running 100% boost and had the Rev limiter maxed out.

I'm not the first to call this car a beast... but it is hard to come up with another word. Apparently 70% turbo and down will mostly prevent any engine damage, but even at that I have a seriously hard time just keeping the back from coming out from under me accellerating.

Is this just how such a car is driven, or is there some combination of setup options I can implement that will keep the car stable off the line or out of corners?

The setup is in your right foot :p
