Let's get an event started!

It is finally time to get iRacing started at RD!

I thought of something like a medium distance race at a nice road track with a D or C class car on Friday or Saturday evening, European time.
What do you guys think? Every suggestion will be warmly welcome.

Does everyone agree on a long V8 session next Friday at Phillip Island?
I say let's go and start 2 hours of practice early until we go for a long qualy session and a 20-30 lap race.
Race start should be at around 21:00 - 21:30 IMO.
What do you guys think?

Great idea.
Will have the content installed tomorrow but I'm out of town this weekend so can't make it on Friday.

I can't do the V8 race(no V8, no spare change atm) but if you guys are going to do a weekend Skippy race in the future I can be 90% sure that I could make it. Actually I have all day Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights after work free for a race(the wife works 7:00pm to 7:00am those days).

The only reason I mention the Skippy is because it is the only non-starter car that I have picked up; I want to do my first full season in it. I am saving my spending money to grab the late model and some ovals but haven't picked them up yet.

Think I'll be keeping my money in my pocket right now as well. Have the Skip Barber so will keep tabs on this thread and see if I can jump in when a Skippy event is on the cards.

I'm definitely up for an event sometime, but can't do the V8 at the moment. Just bought all the Skip Barber content so I have the car and all the tracks for the series.

Would anyone be interested in a Legends race at Brands Hatch tomorrow? I don't paying the hosting fee. If not Brands Hatch, Lime Rock. Thought we might get more interest if we stick to stock content.
