Noticed a problem with fully vanilla Assetto Corsa. When i created the data.acd i had forgot the option to use newer math for the script and that means the mod needs to have Dreampack or later addon installed in Assetto corsa.

The option in the packing algorithm is because when dreampack was introduced the crypting changed. Obviously i thought that it was used in assetto from "then on" but it seems it is only used when dreampack is installed so the data.acd cannot be decrypted by a vanilla assetto corsa version.

I was wondering does assetto give error if someone uses data folder instead of data.acd when playing online with data.acd? This could be option until we have update on the mod?

Wasn't that a core change anyone got via patch? (Normal patch, not CSP)
As even base game users got new free cars in later patches

I thought so too. The thing is the person with the problem installed to a different ssd, new steam installation and new ac installation and it does not work.
So i'm starting to think this is just another "Kunos way of doing things"

I remember the issue with eboos car... wasn't it the collider? I can imagine Kunos hard coded a restriction into AC that forbids the use of kn5s that come from dlc you don't have (so that people don't just copy them from a friend etc)

weird sound issues here: in cockpit view the engine sound goes very quiet to no sound once you drive away from pitlane, as if driver continues to stay in pitlane and hears the car driving away. External sounds have no such problem.

I think kn5 and acd both have a flag if they come from a DLC, not sure why it would come up when building 3rd party acds though, there's no reason to use a packer that can't work with vanilla AC.

Thats the thing. I had a problem with the acd packing and i ticked the box in the .bms to see if that was te reason and forgot it on.
I'll fixit in the next update when we have more skins and some other minor stupp updated.

We haven't seen this on testing, so i'd start from checking the log and steam local files restore

Yeah, in CM i noticed that it takes the sounds from Tatuus, i've temporarily replaced sounds from MK1 Escort and it is fine. Will check if my tatuus sounds are broken. Such a lively car, thanks!

Yeah that need to be addressed on our side if get in touch with Venom34 (ac forums name) send nudes (steam account linked in ac forums) who which i cannot get any contact anymore. If someone knows him pull he's leg on this one.

News on next update:
We have actually got a contact to Venom34 and there will be some fixes and possibly even some improvements on the sounds (he's words, not ours, we are totally happy the way the sounds are right now)

dauntless is going to do some minor detail work for some minor stuff

Shadow118 has been "lured" in to creating some skins for the mod and few others have contributed too, so lots of new skins from the finnish legends series from years past

Also i have been working with some fine tuning on the handling as i got my hands on Botniaring beta version and there will bee some nice little tweaks. Also i will this time pay more attention to the packing of the data.acd so the mod will actually work with fully vanilla assetto corsa.

Hope the physics changes aren't drastic as this is currently the most fun car in AC to me.
Graphically its quite top notch too, but would be nice if cockpit had a few texture improvements (some texs look too pixellated).

Physics changes are mostly things that affect speed, not handling.

As I got to test the car now with a beta stage track that I know the cars handling best from real life, I felt the car had too much braking power which i reduced.
This reduced the laptimes so much that had the opportunity to reduce the wind resistance a bit (closer to measured value) and increase the tire circumference few millimeters.

Now the top speed is really close to what it should be in real life, and the brakes aren't too powerful anymore.

Also made a really small adjustment that makes the steering react faster to slides so car countersteers faster on it's own (as it is supposed since the front end of legends has _huge_ scrub radius). So the only change to the handling is that the car can be driven more intuitively.

"You don't drive legends, it drives you" :D

Could you point out those graphical details?

Any chance we can get a 2.50 Rear end gear ratio added to the mod? That's the longest we ran in these cars in real life and the extra top end would be only usable in the draft/let the cars run at full length circuits so it could be nice.

Thanks for the mod, handles really close to real life, enjoying it very much!

To anyone unable to drive the car but can see it in the showroom, it comes from the mod needing the Dream Pack DLC, as stated before by Juise, due to a seemingly unfortunate mistake.

It could be a nice idea to notice users in the mod description about it being mandatory for the time being, or push for a 1.0b version maybe to fix it.
