The Thrustmaster 24 Hours of Le Mans is fast approaching as the RDLMS by Vesaro participants prepare for the biggest race of the season.

As has been proven in the real life running of the 85th 24 Heures du Mans - anything can happen in endurance racing and more often than not it usually does!

Twenty four hours is a long time to go motor racing when the field of drivers are as closely packed as we enjoy in our RDLMS by Vesaro grid, throw into the mix a multiclass racing structure and weather than can easily change from one moment to the next and you have yourself a recipe for unpredictability and giant killing results.

For our seventh running of the RaceDepartment Le Mans Series, this years supported by our incredible partners Vesaro and Thrustmaster, the 24 Hours of Le Mans will play host to our fourth race of the season and marks the only occasion in which our drivers will be taking part in a 24 hour race event as we move away from our usual six and twelve hour formats.

Running on Saturday 24th until Sunday 25th June, our drivers will not only be fighting it out for the honour of winning the virtual equivalent of the greatest race on earth, but will also be looking to secure some valuable points in the fight to become the 2017 RDLMS by Vesaro season champions.

The races this year have been hotly contested already between our 40 teams and 180 + drivers, with many different team and driver combinations showing flashes of pace and consistency that must surely stand them in good order for a strong performance on race day at Le Mans.

As is always the case in endurance racing you can prepare for every eventuality and have the strongest package come race day, but when that green flag drops and the field accelerate towards the first corner you just need to hang on, recover from setbacks as best as you can and pray lady luck shines down on your car. It is the best feeling in motorsport, either real or virtual, and it will be one of the greatest experiences of their sim racing careers for many of our drivers this coming weekend. I can't wait to watch it all unfold.
