Regarding the rear view mirror, even if it's unfair on this particular model, I guess it's better to leave it that way because it's common in kunos models (one less thing in the to-do list as bonus). The 5000QV (raised bonnet) was one of the worst offenders IRL, but it's also unobstructed ingame.

I think we finally got it this time. :D

We did a new data folder merge before 0.98 to chase away any version mismatches which were the root of the AI problems. Got the brakes sorted out. I extended the camber adjustment range in setup by half a degree negative at both ends. Had a look at the FFB multiplier, explanation below:

For reference, since I set all of my cars up this way... what I do is take the thing to Nords and run it through the Fuchsrohre compression zone 3 times, noting the FFB setting in the Kunos app on each pass. Those numbers get averaged, then rounded down a bit and the result is the FFB mult in car.ini - in this case 1.625. This means that the FFB signal won't clip anywhere in AC without hitting a curb or some other specific event - Fuchsrohre produces the highest force anywhere in the stock tracks, narrowly beating Eau Rouge.

I ran the test again today and got 1.636, which I'd round down to 1.625, so for me it's spot on. If you're driving at a flatter track it may well feel a little light, but there's a logic to it. :)

Stunning work !!

Rear wheel/rim should be a bit deeper, although this is a very minor thing.

Thats one sexy color @schnipp :)

Thank you, but the matte looks better in the showroom than on track with this car.
Nothing wrong with the model of it, it's just that the rather more flat surfaces of the Diablo will wash out the color on quite a big area depending on the angle of the sun and from your viewing angle.
I could go full matte and then it looks better, but I like to leave some 10-15% reflectiveness as full matte looks a bit dull.

I've copied another color from a version I did on the 2017 911 RSR, it works great on the Porsche because of it's more round and flowing lines, but the 'Diablo's box-ish' bodywork is pretty demanding on getting the parameters right.

Edit:
This is with 0% reflectiveness:

Otherwise it's the same color!

Managed to take it out for a short spin yesterday, and its everything I expected it to be. Need to try and get a bit of time and do some LA Canyon laps though.

Not sure if I had the most recent version/hotfix etc, but I noticed it had some tiling evident on the metal_detail (purple), looked stunning otherwise.

Wish someone would enlighten me on that, I have no clue why that happens. It's only on that specific color, and it's exactly the same texture for the rest, same tiling, etc.
There's also no tiling issues outside AC, so it's hard to pinpoint where the problem is.

Something wicked this way comes.....

Loving the car even more after the latest update; surprised that the car didn't have ABS in 1995 though.

Pretty cool time sheet from a trackday session with the AI at Miseluk earlier:

I would brighten that background, but it looks menacing enough already :)

I'm actually surprised that they kept TC on this one, given all the carbon fiber parts used to lighten weight, made sense there's no ABS there, it's road legal but closer to a race car.
Almost no rear view visibility, no AC, no electric windows, no stereo from factory, no power steering and loud open exhausts.

I think they debuted TC on this one, as opposed to carrying it over. The VT certainly didn't have it.

It didn't get ABS until 1999 if memory serves.

I can't tell you why it happened or what the issue was, but I fixed it.

I copied the original .dds file for the color, repainted it in another color, saved it, repainted it back to the original color (same color code) and saved it again (DTX5).
Now the tiling is gone.

Edit: I've also copied the tiling .dds file to another car, it showed the same issue.

That .dds turns it black and it's somehow corrupted, can't open it either.

Weird, I've just downloaded it from my link and replaced it in the default skin folder, no issues here.

Edit: @A3DR , I've send you the file again on the AC forum, maybe it was somehow corrupted yet I don't know why.

Well done @A3DR & @aphidgod , and thanks for all your superb work on this... I haven't had any chance to do anything AC related for around a month or so... So it was a real treat finding this was now available...

Have done a night canyon run against a field of F40's and they're very closely matched...
After a few 42km laps the field was still mixed, with a few seconds between them.
I think this has got to be the sexiest road car in Assetto now!

She is a looker... cosmic girl indeed. :)
Nice to see you around - was starting to get a little worried.
Looker is a very slight understatement ;) Automotive pornography more like lol
As far as I can tell (having not driven a Diablo...yet)... great physics as well mate.
Cheers mate, good to be around... just the usual ongoing life **** and commitments getting in the way of me having my AC fix lol This Diablo has helped calm the AC withdrawal shakes

If you want the full, authentic, period Jota experience you need to be on the Street90s. Ideal pressures are 38/40 vs 33/35, so add ~5psi when you switch from the semis. :)

I tried the Streets 90s yesterday at the nords and both sidekick and the Kunos tyre app were giving ideal hot pressures at around 40-42 if I remember correctly. With these and lower pressures though, the tyres were overheating quite rapidly in corners (and I was driving in a very civilized way ;) ) to the point where the rear end was quite tricky to keep in place. Is this a normal behaviour for SV tyres? I dont drive them too often so I dont have much to compare with.

While starting the 2nd lap the temps got back to green but started overheating again after 3-4 corners.
