This is the only one that helps me keep the car on track and in control... one of the circuits on the calender for me... I am on Virgin!

Hi everyone, first off I'm a total noob at this game, and haven't played any racing games for years.

I started a 7 year career with Lotus, I've done the first 2 races, qualified badly but finished +10 to +12 places up on my qualification pace, which I think is ok considereing the car I'm driving.

I love the game and am having lots of fun, even when I'm sucking completely!

I am trying to qualify better for this race, what gets my goat is my team mate, I can out quali all the other "new teams" but Truli always is in front, but when I am on the track I can overtake people like hamilton yet still get a sucky lap time! One example after my first flying lap no lap times had been posted, as I came to the start line Truli was just hitting the first corner and had started before me, on the Lap I overtook him, finished in front of him with ease, and yet he got a better lap time! Is it my setup or a bug or do I just suck?

laughingdevil, did Trulli set his quick time on that lap, or did you pass him on his out lap? In which case he may well have gone much faster on a flying lap

I'm sure he did because I stayed out and then suddenly he was above me in the timings, using a convertor and that setup on the 3rd post of this thread I've knocked my time down by 1 second, enough t o get me into q2, and, crucially in front of truili.

Well its a bit of both i guess. You can refer to any of the setups posted here. And Sepang is a tricky track.

Well I managed to qualify 17, finish 6th, even lead the race for 4 laps and knocked a second off my previous best lap time. 2 Seconds off a lap in 2 days isn't too bad. And with a bucket of bolts too!
