KTM Release Official Free X-Bow GT4 Mod For Assetto Corsa

In a rather cool move, KTM have released a free mod for Assetto Corsa - bringing the officially licenced X-Bow GT4 to the simulation.
  • New mod with official KTM licence.
  • Developed with real data from the team.
  • Available to download for free for Assetto Corsa.

Feels like its been a long time since I wrote some new news about Assetto Corsa, with game development having been completed following Kunos Simulazioni moving on to their latest project, Assetto Corsa Competizione. However, seeing as the original AC remains exceptionally popular within the sim racing community, even in the middle of 2020 we have new news - a brand new mod has been released, but with the official backing of the real world manufacturer!

Yes, GT4 fans have a new toy to enjoy in AC from today following this rather cool announcement - adding one of the more unique cars of the GT4 regulations to the olden, but still golden Assetto Corsa simulation.

You can download the car HERE.

Assetto Corsa is available now for console and PC.

Want to enhance your Assetto Corsa experience? Head over to the AC mods section and browse through the awesome things our community have been creating!

Really? wow... unfortunately the links here return 404 errors the download works, but the file also gives a 404 error :(

If this was released by KTM for free, could it be posted in the downloads section so we can all obtain it?
The fact something is released for free doesn't necessarily mean it's also free to redistribute.

BTW, how does a download work and give a 404 error at the same time?

Oh. I thought the file you download from the link provided in the article is the car itself, and that worked fine. I had no idea that's just some kind of pointless downloader for the actual mod, and nobody mentioned it. In that case I guess the download might not work for me either (not planning to install this, so not testing it).

I just had a look. The downloader actually has a plain-text (Unicode) URL embedded in it, and it's the same one that people have posted early in this thread (pointing at a ZIP file). It's returning a 404, so yeah the file is no longer where the downloader thinks it is...
The KTMXBOW account on FB may be the original source for the mod. If somebody with an FB account were to give them a nudge, perhaps they might fix it? :)

Can someone share a download link with the .zip version for this car? Thank you!
[Mod edit: our rules don't permit people to post links to external downloads; the link early in this thread was only permitted because it was an officially-sanctioned KTM car and the link was to the official site]

No worries, the semantics here are confusing :p

That same link doesn't work for me directly now, or at least not in my chrome browser, but does work in things like Discord and if I access it as shown in the image. *shrug*
