Keyboard and mouse not working with wheel

Recently picked up a Thrustmaster T500 wheel set. When I plug in the USB for the wheel my mouse and keyboard stop working. Has anyone run into this?

Problem solved.

Apparently, there are different types of USB ports. I just kept trying until I found one that worked.

Look out barriers, here I come.
