Just bought GTL

Just purchased GTR2 Game of the Year edition which included GTL. Seems alot of fun is had with these cars and I was hoping to join in.

Quick question regarding RDHGP. Is there any chance of joining in for the odd race? I know if you join the league you should be able to commit to the whole season, but I thought I would ask.

Anyways, I should have the game in a week or so, and will join up for some club races when I do.

Keith, joining the RDHGP is indeed a commitment to run as many races as possible, not a "drop in when you feel like it" ethos. That is what the Club events are for.

The League events take precedent over any other RD event, so if you join and can't make the race, then an allocation would be required, but a dim view will be taken if the RDHGP is blown out for a different event, allocation or no, and would, in my case certainly, lead to participation sanctions on Club events.

It might sound slightly draconian, but laying it all out now, ahead of any possible decision you make leaves no room for if, buts or maybes, and you know exactly where you stand.

I would have liked to have signed up for the RDHGP league but I haven't got the time to commit to another league. I try to drop in on a club race at least once a month though just to keep playing this great game.

There's plenty of variety in the club races Keith, in the space of a few events I've driven an Alfa, a TVR, a Jag, a Lotus Elite, a 911, the ubiquitous Mini Cooper, the mark I Escort and the recalcitrant Lotus Cortina.

Got to say Rick, giving the Cortina the epithet recalcitrant out of that list, one that includes the 911 and the TVR, is a bit of a shocker to me. :shock:

That's probably my fave rave on that list

I appreciate the response 100% Stuart. This is why I asked.

I am currently not able to commit 100% to anything schedule because of work and my real life racing schedule.

I will however be around to race as many club races as I can.

Look forward to getting GTL installed and toying around with it.

Starting to think about reinstalling my copy of GT Legends now.

I've looked at some of the Club races b4 and pondered it. As Thursdays are a boring evening for me I might just do it:wink2:.

You should. They are incredibly difficult cars to drive. Tons of fun and a real challenge!!!!!
