It was pretty competitive for their first year in F1 - regularly qualified in the top 10 in a field of 34 competitors.

Aaaaaactually... it "only" qualified like 5 times in the Top Ten(even Moreno achieved 9th place at Monza in Q, but spun off on lap 2).

De Cesaris managed to DNPQ at the first race, with both cars being slower than Larini's Lambo there(although Gachot then was fractions faster in qualifying proper).
