Jenson Button's father, John, has died after suffering a heart attack, according to reports.

Heard this just a short time ago... it was a total shock.

As others have said, he was a character to have around the GP`s and obviously extremely proud of Jenson.

It was amazing to see his reaction when Jenson won the title in 2009. Always fervently supportive and proud of his son...

My thoughts are with the Buttons, it's never easy dealing with the loss of a family member.

Why this ... just came home, Ronaldo won the Golden Ball, i am Madridista, came home from party, in good mood, and this happens!!! :/ He is way more involved in F1 than any other father i see today in F1 so i can say he will be missed A LOT!!!

This is so sad, Jenson is going to be gutted and probably lost without his Dad, it would be awesome (though unlikely) to see him win the Title or even just the British GP as a dedication to John this year.
