2013 started with explosive action with the fourth running of the Precision Motorsports Race of Champions. A regular highlight usually at the end of the Motorsport calendar this annual event took place on a new platform.
Qualification was held on the regularly used rFactor 1 which was run across two days. The advancing eight drivers would meet the eight wild card entries and reigning Champion in the following week’s event. The twist this year is that the Race of Champions event itself would be held on the new rFactor 2 simulation. Recently dispatching the Beta tag, rFactor 2 has quietly presented itself to the Sim-Racing world.
The evenings proceeding kicked off with a further qualification round to determine the four groups of four drivers. Each would face off against each other once and the top two would progress to the quarter finals. Qualifying was run using the Renault Clio.
