After discussions with Warren over a few ideas our GTL event for next week is something rather tasty!
Lets head over to the small nation of San Marino for an Italian feature race with the Ferrari 275GTB at Imola.
With a one make field and a track that throws up most corner types and various length straights this should be a fantastic event.

Not sure if I will be able to make this one, have my first driving test that night and may not be back in time plus I need to eat :)

Its partley due to vista why we have a low number of racers.
Due to starforce program, people dont want to downlaod that software

I've been running Vista x64 for over a year now, GTL never gave me any problems, nor has Starforce to be fair. The first thing I did was to change GTL.exe properties and tick the 'Run As Administrator' box and it worked fine.

I followed everything suggested here:

How to: Install GT Legends on Vista Ultimate 64 bit - NoGripRacing

It might be interesting to see some strategy here then, it looked to me that it might be possible to not do one but you would need to drive very carefully.

I think it is good when it is left to strategy and not compulsory.

This car on this track is tough. I am barely able to turn a 2:20.4, and I am spinning a lot. The Ferrari is very sensitive to down shifts, and somewhat sensitive to braking. I won't have any time to do a real setup since I just started practicing now, and the race is in less than 24 hrs.

It is a shame that there is not more participation in GTL. The cars are tough, but the events are fun, and I have really enjoyed them. In particular, this crowd seems a bit more polite than even the FD Series crowd in Race07, which I really appreciate. Perhaps there might be a way to get this message out to those who have been a bit disappointed with the aggressive driving elsewhere?!
