F1 2013 Is my pC good enough for F1 2013?

Hi,

Ive tried to run F1 2013 on highest resolution, but I experience slight stuttering. I was wondering whether my PC has enough power for F1 2013. Could anyone give me some advice?

AMD FX6200 black cpu
Club Radeon HD 7850 royal 1gig
8gb ram

If I need to upgrade, what would be first? CPU or video?

F1 201x game are really CPU dependant. In the past I was using radeon HD 5850 on ultra or very high settings. Had lot of FPS dips on E8400 or Q9650 both were overclocked to 4GHz. Game started to run really smoothly when I changed platform to I7 2600K, then even old 5850 started to shine with constant 60FPS.

I would start monitoring what is hogging your system. If CPU is 100% loaded then problem is on CPU side, if gfx card is loaded 100% then problem is on gfx side.

Your CPU has 6000 PC Marks and mine gets 8000 PC Marks, so in my opinion problem is rather your gfx card or operating system.

I think an i7 is really overkill for F1 2013. A friend of mine has a Q9650 at 4.07 ghz, 8gb ddr3-1600 ram and a GTX 670. His CPU's don't go over 65% and the game is almost never below 100fps on ultra.

Mine CPU is also at 60% and gfx card around 55%. I am using vsync.

Yeah, I guess for this game >4ghz C2Q and i7 perform about the same.

My recently self built i5 4670k overclocked to 4.4 ghz and my GTX770 absolutely loves all games now and eats F1 2013 for Brunch. Smooth as a smooth thing from the planet Silk.
