Introducing the FSR Fantasy League (Beta)! Sign-up now!

Teams will be locked tomorrow Sunday, October 17th 16:00 GMT! Until then, you have time to sign-up and perform driver transfers/swaps in time for the Brazilian GP!

A few tips for everyone:

- Warning! Precision's Bono Huis and Ronny Hahnel, the two best-scoring drivers so far, were penalised for performing forbidden slipstreaming in Suzuka's Qualifying session and will have the handicap of starting the race from the pitlane as a consequence.
- Rasmus Tali was Japan's top-scorer in the FSR Fantasy League in his return to the podium. With Huis and Hahnel starting from the pitlane, Tali becomes one of the favourites for the Brazilian race win, and will also become an interesting alternative for those managers looking to replace Bono Huis for this round.
- Atze Kerkhof, after his drive to 5th at Suzuka and at a cost of $800, will again be one of the hot picks following his confirmation as a Twister-Racing driver for the remaining races.

Just a question Christian - After each race or after some races. Will the prices change of the driver? Might be a good idea, maybe a person gambles on a person and it pays off! Aka on Atze :p So he gets a good result here and his price can go higher.

Not this season, but it's something that is being considered for next year. In 2011 the Fantasy League will start after the first few races and go until the end of the season, so changing prices every few races would make sense. I am still unsure how to make changing prices compatible with the budget limit, however.

Bastien Gauthier (GG Promo Sport, France), Lee Morris (Montoya F1, Great Britain) and Borna Spoljaric (Miro&Ivo Racing Team, Croatia) have won the third round of the FSR Fantasy League with 39 points! Congratulations! Signups are now open. You may now check your team's results and perform driver swaps and your driver transfer in your My Team page.

Two new drivers are now selectable for the last round: Domagoj Malezic ($2900) and Eduard Mallorqui ($400).

Round Results & Standings

Race Points

We have a triple tie in first place! Bastien, Lee and Borna won the round with 39 points, thanks to the points scored by Bono Huis and Atze Kerkhof. However, nobody selected the round's Ideal Team this time. Anyone picking the Finn duo of Jaakko Mikkonen and Mikko Puumalainen would have triumphed with 45 points, but nobody did. It was a very tight round, with Edvardas Skridaila, Dennis Hirrle, Kevin Budie and Atze Kerkhof also scoring 39 points, but losing out due to the tie-breaker criterias.

Johannes Kunkel, who just missed the Top 10 this round, continues to lead the Standings with 129 points, heading into the Abu Dhabi season finale. Edvardas Skridaila and Bastien Gauthier complete the current podium with 124 and 122 points respectively. Meanwhile, the other winners, Lee Morris and Borna Spoljaric, share 8th position with 109 points. First round winner Angela Freitas returned to the Top 10 this time, climbing to 6th in the Standings with 114 points.

After frustrating the managers who selected him in the previous round with a score of -1, race winner Jaakko Mikkonen was the best-scoring driver of the round this time, with 30 points. Bono Huis followed closely with 28. Thanks to post-race penalties, 3 drivers went into the negative side of the scale in this round: Marco Conti (-1), Eduard Mallorqui (-10) and Patrick De Wit (-13).

As for WC drivers also competing as managers in the FSR Fantasy League, Lee Morris becomes the first 2010 WC driver to win a round of the FSR Fantasy League. From the drivers who actually competed in the Brazilian GP, Dennis Hirrle was the top scorer in 5th place.

The Abu Dhabi race will finish the 2010 WC season and will also decide the 2010 FSR Fantasy League winner! Will Kunkel retain his lead to secure yet another championship this year? Will someone else surprise and grab the lead at the last round? The answer in two weeks time, see you in Abu Dhabi!

Thanks Christian. For the recap too. It seems to really shape up now and although this is only a Beta Version, and just a test really, it's quite exciting.
Forgot to change my lineup for this race and it cost me!!! :D

Teams will be locked tomorrow Sunday, October 31st 16:00 GMT! Until then, you have time to sign-up and perform driver transfers/swaps in time for the season finale Abu Dhabi GP!

Two new drivers are now selectable for the last round: Pablo Garcia ($400) and Raino Room ($400).

A few tips for everyone...

- Bruno Marques, after being the fastest man on track before the DNF at Interlagos, will be looking forward to end the season on a high and secure the runner-up championship spot. While he is the most expensive driver in the FSR Fantasy League, those who can afford him will make a good choice.
- Stephane Rouault, showed very impressive pace in Monza and is now returning for the last round. At a cost of $500, the dutch driver will be a very good alternative for those on a tight budget.
- Warning! Ronny Hahnel, Patrick De Wit, David Greco and Karol Poniatowski will not be taking part in the race.

Who will win the 2010 FSR Fantasy League? Only a few days to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen... we have a champion!

Ferry Koek (HSB-Racing)
, from the Netherlands, has won the final round of the FSR Fantasy League with 64 points! Thanks to this result, he has also become the 2010 FSR Fantasy League champion with 170 points! Congratulations! You may now check your team's results in your My Team page.

Round Results & Standings

Race Points

With an amazing score of 64 points, the highest in the 2010 FSR Fantasy League, Ferry took not only victory in the final round, but also, stole the championship lead at the last hurdle! Ferry won the round by selecting the round's Ideal Team, consisting of the Twister-Racing duo of Bruno Marques and Atze Kerkhof. His choice of reserves allowed him to beat Pedro Rodrigues, who also scored 64 points, due to his driver lineup costing $200 less. Jeffrey Rietveld was 3rd with 50 points.

Ferry Koek scored 170 points throughout the championship to be crowned the 2010 FSR Fantasy League champion! Pedro Rodrigues and Edvardas Skridaila will be disappointed as they also finished with the same score, but lost out to Ferry's cheaper team due to the tie-breaker criterias. However, it was still an excellent campaign from them. Congratulations to our Top 3 managers!

Previous leader Johannes Kunkel, was only 14th in this round, and dropped to 6th place in the final standings with a score of 167. The other round winners placed as follows: Bastien Gauthier 5th (168 points), Lee Morris 9th (155 points), Borna Spoljaric 10th (155 points) and Angela Freitas 13th (144 points).

Triple World Champion and race winner Bruno Marques was the top-scoring driver of the round, with 41 points. Dennis Hirrle followed with 27. Three drivers made it into the negative side of the points scale this time around thanks to post-race penalties: Jaakko Mikkonen (-1), David Dominguez (-2) and Stephane Rouault (-10).

Bono Huis was the top-scoring driver of the 2010 FSR Fantasy League, with a total score of 119 in 4 races. Podium was completed by Bruno Marques with 97 and Rasmus Tali with 80. Eduard Mallorqui and Stephane Rouault closed the table with -10 points, taking part in only one race each. Bono Huis ended the season as the driver who was selected by more FSR Fantasy League managers, followed closely by Jeffrey Rietveld and Atze Kerkhof, who was included in many teams after his confirmation as a Twister-Racing driver.

As for WC drivers also competing as managers in the FSR Fantasy League, Jeffrey Rietveld was the top scorer of the round on 3rd position with 50 points. From the drivers who actually competed in the Abu Dhabi GP, Atze Kerkhof was the best, on 6th place with a score of 46. Jeffrey Rietveld was also the top-scorer from the WC drivers in the final standings, finishing in 4th position with 169 points.

With no more races left this season, we have a champion and the short 2010 FSR Fantasy League has come to an end. We thank all managers for their very enthusiastic participation in the Beta and we hope to see you all back for more next year! And for those who didn't join the action this season, you are of course invited to the 2011 FSR Fantasy League! A survey will soon be published for you to be able to give your input into next year's game.

Thanks for playing and see you next year!
