How much longer will mods be developed for Assetto Corsa?

What with Assetto Corsa Competizione on the horizon, how much longer will modders continue to develop and release content for Assetto Corsa? When I had Project Cars, I was late to the party and the modding had pretty much dried up when Project Cars 2 came out. I don't have the system to run Project Cars 2 or Assetto Corsa Competizione, so, will the summer see modding for Assetto Corsa begin to wind down? Are there things in development hell that we may never get to see?

I'll keep supporting it with mods, track skins, driver suits, helmets etc. Probably dabble back with some car skins again. AC will be around for a long time yet as long as this community exists.

Because there are a lot fewer track creators/modelers than car modelers.

And in my opinion, not that special of a layout.

Yes, not special, but it is real life and regularly used, track for more than 30 years. Appearing even in legendary movie like "driven". (Well just kidding about "legendary" movie though...)

I have the same feeling that we will have mods for many many years in the future, the reason being that there is no real alternative (and I don't think there will be) as a serious car simulator (what we are interested in), not just another racing simulator of boring racing series.
