F1 2010 How do you race?

This is basically because im nosey and want to find out what diffrent assists people race with (on and off line), ill start so you get the idea

Controller : Wheel Supersports 3x / i'm really good with a controller but the wheel add realism.

But in f1 2011 i will start with all the assists off , i start with a wheel so i'm not really a beast , but online i am competitive , and with a controller i'm very very good.

I used to do the pit in manual but for me it added nothing to the experience. I've added macros to the wheel to get the wing up and down on a single button push, and also to change engine mapping.

Having run with fuel and tyre simulation ON for a couple of seasons, I recently with the greatest reluctance turned them off. That's highly unrealistic, but racing in which I'm the only one affected is totally unrealistic too. I concluded it was better (but only just) to have the same characteristics as my opponents.

I am quite surprised (and pleased) to see that the majority of drivers use the cockpit view I was under the impression that most, especially those racing online, used the T-cam view.
